County Jail is operated by the Corrections Division, which is a part of the DeKalb County Sheriff s Office. The Corrections Division offers prisoner transportation and courthouse security services. The DeKalb County Sheriff s Office is a full-service law enforcement agency. The office operates a field operations division that is responsible for patrol, civil process and electronic home monitoring activities. The DeKalb County Sheriff s Office also manages a communications division that handles criminal investigations. The office manages a staff of more than 95 employees. It operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The DeKalb County Sheriff s Office is a part of the government of DeKalb County in Illinois.
