Dance Artistry Center

My daughter has had a great experience so far and is truly enjoying all of the classes she is partaking in. What I liked, from the start, is how accepting they were, as she is a new dancer with no experience, and they allowed her to join in right away. Other studios in the area wanted her to wait until the next enrollment period which was months away. She will have her first recital coming up next month, so hopefully I can submit a new, more detailed, rating after seeing what a few months with a newbie can produce.

This school is not among the best in the area and will prove to be a waste of your valuable money. The classes are overpriced for the quality of the instruction. The teachers have an awful habit of discussing inappropriate matters with the children in their classes (like the fifth and sixth graders who sat through the owner detailing her c-section), and the owner has actually glared and shouted at young students (and complained about their mothers to whoever stood nearby while she would be playing music in the corner of the room). Additionally, the teachers pick favorites and go out of their way to show this to the other students, so much so that one of the owner's teaching assistants actually was kicked out of the school for pointing out the owner's favoritism and how such a thing can take its toll on young minds. Oh, and hardly any of the lovely photos they use on their website/social media are actually of this studio's dancers - learned this the hard way after being sucked into believing I would be paying for something better due to the photos I saw on their website (and just assumed would be of their students). There are better, healthier, and more supportive dance environments out there for your children.
