My review is long and not even sure where to start. 1. Miss handled my blood work, as was left unlabeled on a counter and was not able to use it. 2. Was lied about the results of a test taken. I was told the test showed no positive signs of bacteria and that maybe we should take the test again on which I did. When I checked my portal of Quest Diagnostic, it had indicated there were unable to perform the test at all. The 2nd test was taken and received the results. 3. The carpet in the waiting area is filthy, not an environment you would expect in a doctors office. 4. Had to call 4 times to get a referral placed for a CT scan. They indicated that they had submitted to the imaging center. Only after I seeking help by establishing my care else were, was a referral place and the CT scan done. I did follow up with imaging center and did confirm that they had never received the referral from MedFirst. 5. My husband is still waiting for the results from a test done 2 months ago and has inquired about it on two occasions with out any progress. 6. There billing process is questionable, as they continue to indicate unpaid bills but when I look at the patient portal, it never indicates any amount due, even looking through the payment history. They can never really give us answers of services due nor prove they have billed us. Sadly I can go on.

I have a son with asthma and the doctor doesn't seem to understand what an inhaler is or the difference between an inhaler or nebulizer. I've been fighting for a week now to get an inhaler and they are STILL telling me abuterol viles for a neb will work with the inhaler spacer?? WOW! What is my four year old suppose to do, drink the viles? Thank goodness I have asthma and have been able to use my inhalers for him, unfortunately he can't go to school still because they need HIS INHALER in the nurses office. I don't know how the doctor has a medical degree. Also to not understand the severity of asthma is mind-blowing, it took 2 weeks to get an over-ride on another asthma medication because she "didn't have time" to fill it out for my insurance company.

I would not recommend this office to anyone for any reason. The first impression upon entering the office is that it smells musky and dirty. They are extremely understaffed. Although I've never seen more than one other patient in the office, they are always "too busy" to listen, to care or to give individual attention in any way. The staff is rude and I always felt that I was bothering them for even being there. A simple referral took three weeks for them to make, also because the nurses were "too busy" to make the referral. When I tried to come in as a walk in for an urgent situation, I was told they were too busy to see me...although there were no other patients in the office. So, all in all, I haven't had a single positive experience with this office.

Was seen at Duke for a condition and was told about a separate viral condition to have my doctor look into. Told SWB Medical that Duke recommended I be tested for a viral condition. Was luteraly told, "We're not Duke, but you don't have anything viral." Moved out of state, went to a new doctor, told them about this, they immediately tested me that day, and within two days found out I had an existing viral condition, and had had it in the past. How on earth do you dare practice medicine and by view alone, tell someone they don't have a condition? When in doubt, make the drive to Duke.

I went to the Dr because I kept vomiting profusely and had the worst pain in my back to the point I could barely walk and moderate abdomen pain. They said I had food poisoning and in 2 days I would be better. I was given anti nausea medication that didn't work. 3 days later I went back to them because I was worse. I kept complaining bad of my pain and they set me up with a place in town to get blood work and a cat scan for the next day. They gave me a stronger anti nausea medicine that didn't work. I ended up in the, E.R that night admitted from severe dehydration and appendicitis. My appendix had ruptured and I needed surgery right away. I was so sick I was kept for 4 days. I trusted these Physician assistants and they nearly killed me. They should have sent me to the, E.R. Stay away they're that bad. One more thing to add, my second time back to the office, they had two Physician assistants look at me and both misdiagnosed appendicitis.
