This is an old place, so don't expect great ambiance like the restaurants you're used today. I enjoyed a Sunday Brunch buffet for a great price. The food mainly Mexican classic dishes, omelets that take a little too long to prepare, but worth the wait. Hot coffee, tapioca...more, jello, and cold drinks of Mexican recipes including hugo de tamarindo (sweet tamarind juice), sweet rice milk and delicious old fashion punch. Menudo and Posole soups, which is a nice surprise, fresh fruits and cold mix salads including seafood civiche. Dishes are rotated, so don't expect the same food every time you visit. Restaurant also offers good 'ol fashion hamburgers and fries and nice fajita dishes that really leave a trail of steam. Great place for anyone at any age. I recommend bringing your little family over after church on a Sunday and bring a friend, who can't decide what to eat. Plenty of choices and lots of service people available. The restaurant also offers a wet bar and Tex/Mex Tejano music with a ballroom attached at your request. view less
My family and I have been eating at Big Jim's for many years!! We will be there for Mother's Day on Sunday. Look forward to a great meal. We enjoy eating their. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable.
You get to see car show here from time to time which is pretty cool. Food is ok but nothing impressive.
