Pleasant Place to Live

Direct Phone Number(s)to this Park: Office: 337-625-4199; Office Manager: Mrs. Deb 337-304-7288; Park Land Manager: Mr. Earl 337-476-4399.
This is a wonderful family owned park. It has owners who live on the premises. Owners are in their eighties and their daughter, Mrs. Deb, is the office manager and is very easy to talk too. They do try to keep it a "drug-free" park, quiet, and has a good reputation with the local authorities. It has been that way for over 50 years. The park land manager is Mr. Earl, he's in his eighties, but mows & weed eats the yards, and assists all in the parking & hookup of their campers. He handles electrical and water issues too. Very knowledgeable and handy to have around if you have trouble with any issues within your camper. This park is currently taking large mobile homes within 5-10 yrs. of age, (must be in excellent shape & clean), as well as RV's.

Service

So I call to get a price for a monthly rate. Someone answers the phone, who obviously shouldn't, and told me several times that they couldn't hear me. I am now talking very loudly and everyone in my office turns around to look at me. Once the person finally hears what I am asking, he/she yells and says I am a scammer and to not call back. Plant worker that works 7 days a week and wouldn't even be there but you missed out on the money!

The hurt they put my family thru is unbelievable , in a time when my family was in need and dieing around me.. i and my husband and children have always helped them weather it be taking care of the park for there vacations or taking care of them thru surgerys or just picking fruit from the trees cause of weather.. in short they were my family.. UNTIL I NEEDED THEM. most of the reviews you will see on here are from me or my kids Aaron, kristian,or from there daughter deblynn..BEWARE

Very nice people that run Mylanders. But you need to follow the rules, which aren't strict, just taking care of their place. Not much to look at, but very quiet. I would recommend staying here to my family and friends. Thank you for being so great to my husband and the crew he works with. You all were a blessing.

Lucky

I was lucky to find this place. Place where I was staying was costing me $400.+ a month in Westlake, Louisiana. They included electricity, but heck, I don't use $200.00 worth of electricity every month. Ms. Millie will show and give you a copy of your electric bill from the electric company so that you know exactly what you owe instead of paying an exorbitant flat rate sum. This is not a concrete parking lot!! I don't care if there is a concrete pad to put my camper on, gravel is fine for me and this place has gravel pads that were just great. They even include Basic Cable TV in their price. Garbage pickup is done in front of your camper once a week - no stinky garbage dumpsters. There are security lights for your feeling of safety and security of your camper placed strategically through the park. There is a nice washateria which was recently refurbished with new washers in it. The office keeps change on hand in most cases for those that may need change for their washing.

It is a natural scenic park complete with grassy yards, trees, flowers, birds and trees. Makes for great fresh air to breathe and enjoy. The owners mow and plant and take care of the park yards and if you work shift work they will be happy to try and not mow when you are sleeping - just let them know. They are wonderfully accomodating people that are here to do a public service and earn a living without ripping off people. I can appreciate it - I know you will too!!

Don't stay here!

I rated this place a one star only because I had to. If I could have given it a zero, I would have. This is the worst trailer park you could ever stay in with the worst and nosiest people that run it. They discriminate against people, overcharge and will rip you off!! Spend your money elsewhere because this place definitely isn't worth it!!!

I would like to let people know that the owners are not nosey people- but advertise their park as drug free and therefore, in having a responsibility to that claim do monitor the incoming traffic in the park. If for some reason people are repetitively going and coming on a timely and continuous basis from a spot then more than likely "drugs" are involved. We asked them, they would not answer, and continuous traffic, and visitors that were not listed as staying at that address were asked to leave as they were not paying rent to stay there. These people got angry and left - and needless to say the "extra" traffic left also. Wonder why?????? We have made a good reputation amongst most businesses and clients that we have here and all like this park for two reasons - "peace and quiet" and "no drugs will be tolerated". We aim to keep it that way - they didn't like it - we are sorry!! They also ran their water bills up because they would not fix a leaky line, when given the bill they got aggravated. Hey!!! we let them know that it was leaky and would be charged for any water bill over and above the normal usage unless they quickly got it fixed. They didn't, and they got charged for their negligence. We provide most of those services free of charge, but negligence is not something that we feel we should take the responsibility for - after all we are in a "business" and need to put food on our tables too!!! We try very hard to be fair, assist people if they need help and provide services that most parks in this area will charge their customers for greatly. We are generous, family oriented and friendly landlords who even have park fish frys to help bring our little community of renters together. Most everyone here knows that we are fair and honest -we don't charge excess for anything, and any rate increases always come with an explanation, and not usually of our making do these increases occur, but the increases for example of power surcharges on bills that the power company assesses each lot. We have no control over that, we show it to the tenants, and most always understand and are gracious. Charging unnecessary lot rent, electric, water, etc. is not done here !!! Ask anyone who knows us and they will tell you this is the truth.
