Crown Media Holdings owns and operates cable television channels, including the Hallmark Channel that it distributes in the United States to approximately 68 million subscribers. The channel is also distributed worldwide to approximately 60 million subscribers in more than 150 countries. Through its subsidiary, Crown Media Distribution, the company also distributes titles from its collection of movies, mini-series and films for exhibition in a variety of television media, including broadcast, cable, video-on-demand and high definition television. Significant investors in Crown Media Holdings include: Hallmark Entertainment Holdings, a subsidiary of Hallmark Cards; Liberty Media Corp.; and J.P. Morgan Partners; VISN Management Corp., a for-profit subsidiary of the National Interfaith Cable Coalition; and Hughes Electronics Corporation. Crown Media Holdings is publicly traded on NASDAQ under the symbol CRWN and is headquartered in Studio City, Calif.
