The best deli in LA! Try the Pastrami and Chopped Liver for a surprising combo. The sandwiches are all big enough to split. Even the Lox and Cream Cheese on a toasted Bagel is piled so high that it too can be shared. The homemade Rice Pudding is truly extraordinary, a religious experience! The owner even told me it is their own secret recipe. You may even spot Hollywood celebrities meeting with their agents doing a ... view more

My in-laws and fiancee used Art's Deli to entice me into agreeing to live in Los Angeles. A native of Northern California, the idea of living in LA is often ridiculed up there, but the food at Art's convinced me that proper civilization exists in LA, you just have to know where to look. Thanks for securing my move to my new home 24 years ago - both my marriage and my love of Art's Deli persist! See you there.

The best deal still is the Tri...

The best deal still is the Tri-Salad plate. Two to three people can easily eat off this. Be sure to ask for extra bread--make mine rye. The food is tasty, properly seasoned, in large portions and served by the sort of very busy, determined and efficient servers you would expect, or should expect, in a authentic deli such as this. The sandwiches are huge, over sized, plenty of meats with fresh baked breads. If you lik... view more

Best Deli in Los Angeles

Art's deli, without a doubt, has the best pastrami and rye bread this side of the Atlantic. I eat there at least twice a week with my office mates. It beats the most popular deli's in NYC itself, the home of Kosher Deli's. The service is great. The selection of foods, sides, and bakery is fantastic. Their chopped liver is as good as mom made, and mom took great care and pride years back in making hers. The black and ... view more

Best Deli Ever. Period.

OK, I am a fan of Art's, have been for years. Art's Deli in Studio City is a 1 hour drive for my friends and I. It is well worth it. We come from different parts of So Cal ... the OC, South LA, Inland Empire, and High Desert to meet at Art's for lunch. We come to enjoy the great food, the family atmosphere, and each others company. Family atmosphere because we are treated like family by Art's family ... and the serve... view more

My favorite Deli of All Time Anywhere

I Eat at Art's Twice a Week or More! What can you say about one of the last of the real delis? It's still the under the original family ownership. They tend to every customer like they are part of their own family. Huge portions. The closest to New York you'll get west of the Mississippi. Art's is the original, and still the best. My work travels takes me to fine dining places and delis to meet clients. My number o... view more

Best Deli in the West

Oh wow. I love Art's Deli! My girlfriend and her family have been going for over two decades and I discovered it about 5 years ago. They have the most delicious, hugest sandwiches you can ask for. The pastrami with swiss cheese on rye bread is my favorite of all time. Their turkey blt is too die for too. Their bacon is sooo good and it doesn't even have any fat on it. My girlfriend loves the monte cristo. Their chick... view more

Clean but overpriced

My $12 burger, was as lifeless and the cow that contributed to it, albeit, involuntarily. You need more enthusiasm in your food, otherwise you can just get a frozen dinner at Ralphs. Place was a quarter full saturday afternoon.

Used to be great......

I used to love going to Art's where the turkey and roast beef sandwiches were stacked to the ceiling.\r \r But even though the sandwiches are still thick, there is something unclean about the place. Maybe it's the fact I didn't feel well for a day after eating there?\r \r Guys, you make food, clean up your act or your customers like me will all end up at Jerry's
