La Siesta Motel

I'm posting this review for one main reason: As a warning to people who are considering staying here. My best piece of advice is keep on driving until you get to the next motel, because staying at this one could cost you. Earlier tonight I sent in my first complaint EVER against a business to the Better Business Bureau. Why? Because after a week of paying for a relative to stay here, I reviewed my credit card statement, only to realize that my credit card had been charged for an entire extra day. I was not informed and did NOT give my consent for this charge at all. Someone took my previously disclosed credit card info and decided simply to place another charge on it without my consent or knowledge. In other words, the manager of La Siesta purposely ripped me off! This is after I paid him about $350 for 7 days. I will never give this establishment another dime under any circumstances, and I'm looking into how to press charges with local police right now. By now my complaint to the BBB should be public record, so feel free to look it up for yourself. And just in case you're thinking this could have been an error, I should mention that two full days elapsed between the charge that I authorized and the one that simply appeared there later on. This was a deliberate act to cheat a customer. If you absolutely MUST stay here, I'd recommend paying in cash so that there's nothing with which liberties can be taken later on, as is the case with credit cards or checks. Pay in cash, and you might be okay. Also, most of the staff is pretty nice and helpful; however, if you arrive and see a guy working behind the counter, this should be your first clue to turn around and leave. The manager is an absolute creep! Do yourself a favor and fork over more money to stay at a reputable place. Doing so might save you a lot of aggravation later on. This business is the textbook definition of "buyer beware!". Stay at your own risk.
