Yes children do learn through play. This to the person who said, "Ummm" to this. I worked for Goddard and had my daughter there. The lessons they are suppose to teach are not always taught, the specials they say they do are not always done. The teachers have to write ridiculous in-depth lessons plans for infants and toddlers, tons of paper work, and do not get paid much. A lot of it is just for show. It is an overpriced daycare center. Teachers are required to have degrees, but don't make much money. $10.00 is the base pay. I have heard parents lied to when giving tours to parents. They tell them that all there teachers have four year degrees in Early Childhood, when in fact most of them only have two year degrees in areas such as interior design. I was really impressed at first and was so excited to have my daughter go there for free. I became disappointed right away.
