Not very impressed with this (A-) BBB rated, NADCA certified company. Hired SpeedDry for air duct cleaning for their $99 special to clean my entire house (need I say more -- you get what you pay for!). We never had air duct cleaning before and thought we would try it out. They pulled up in an unmarked DIRTY truck (which I thought was ironic for a cleaning company). And, as I was not surprised, that $99 special turned into first a $350 quote for the basic cleaning ($99 for first unit, $250 for second AC unit which I was NEVER told on the phone), then an $800 quote bc they allegedly found leaks and a small amount of mold in our 5 yr old home. The tech asked if we had any health problems? Reply, NO. He still recommended that we pay the $800 for the total package that came with a 2 yr warranty. Reply, NO. I didn't know enough about the air duct cleaning business to warrant such a charge.

The 2 techs finished the cleaning job in LESS THAN AN HOUR and advised me that they would only charge me $200 ($99 per unit) even though they really couldn't do that..they were giving me a GREAT DEAL! (sarcasm purposely added). After asking more questions about the service, the tech became a little combative (not sure why, ummm I wonder) and walked out of my house while I was still speaking and asking questions. Wow, really??!!!

So, we paid $200 for air duct cleaning that I can't see made much of a difference in our house as far as dust and air quality. But hey, it was a lesson learned. First time for everything...will probably never have that service again. We'll just stick to changing our air filters on a bi-monthly basis.
