Great Place to Practice Freefall for Skydivers!
Provided by Citysearch
That said, the amount of freefall time you get for you $ is a lot more compared to the amount you get on a skydive. It is a great way to increase your freefall skills in a safer environment than in the sky, which is a great confidence builder. I went to i FLY SF Bay after my second day off AFF. I got really unstable and lost both of my instructors. My instability caused severe line twist in my parachute. I had to cut away my main and deploy my reserve. After that, I went with one of my instructors to i FLY. The staff there worked with me to teach me how to remain stable on my belly, even while pretending to check my altitude and deploying my parachute. I gained enough confidence to return to the sky the next day, and have a great skydive! I went back again within the month to practice turning, so that I'd feel even more confident with my abilities. I finished AFF within a few days from that. Now, I have my A Lic! Now that I'm flying well on my belly, I would love to return to i FLY to learn how to back fly, sit fly, and fly head down! Thanks to the staff for all your help!
