Salvo's might be a little off the beaten path, and the ambiance might seem a little more like a deli or seafood shop than a restaurant, but when you try the food you will wonder how you ever settled for Po-Boys or boiled seafood anywhere else. In fact, their french bread, PoBoy ""dressing"" and boil seasonings are unsurpassed by any place I have ever eaten (New Orleans or otherwise). I lived in the city for 10 years and this is one of the few places I know is worth returning to - from 3 hours away. If you love seafood and want an awesome meal at a reasonable price, you'd be silly to miss this one.
