Heartland Health Care Center- Sterling Heights

Horrible experience. Don't send your family here. Nursing staff is uncaring, nurses aide took money from patient for favors. My relative caught pneumonia here, nurse would not release her to a hospital. Next day, different nurse listened to me and arranged for transport to hospital. Almost lost my relative. Ill patient in next bed claimed I was speaking Arabic and nurse arranged for a psychoanalysis of myself (a visitor) based upon the delusional patient's statements. (I had a belch). Avoid Heartland at all costs.

Why In Gods name would you release a diabetic amputee to her 90 year old mother in a wheel chair with NO supplies? Then take the wheel chair because it is property of Heart Land !? 2 hrs later they sent a bed and a lift delivered with instructions given to her 90 year old mother to use....REALLY? Couldn't you have simply waited for Blue cross to approve the nursing home (which they did later on that same morning)? Because your staff was on vacation, the transfer orders were not received or taken care of. A complete lack of coordination amongst your staff has lead to the improper care of a very sick woman. Please change your policies .... Because you have not had even the slightest bit of consideration to call and check up on the situation, ill give you an update; she is STILL home with her mom 3 DAYS LATER! Still no meds or supplies! As her neighbor, I have made food and changed her diapers because I cannot sit by and watch a neglectful situation happen so close to me. Hopefully she is admitted on Monday since admissions is closed sat, sun . .. So who is to blame for this? It's all about money ........meanwhile this poor woman has no care , because the system does not care... Save your money my friends so you don't find yourself or loved ones in this mess because BlueCross and Medicare insurance is not enough.. Who made them GOD?
