Western Beef

The store bakery turns out the best bread and bakery items at unmatched prices. The meat department offers top quality product, custom cut with many items found only in wholesale restaurant supply houses. The deli is clean, reasonably priced and comparable in quality to high end pork stores. Grocery and dry goods items are competitively priced, but, on the whole, are not at a substantial savings to what can be found at chain supermakets or Costco. Go for the meats, deli, produce and bakery. Best in town. Be cautioned that the Mariner's Harbor location gets a rough clientele. I've never encountered a problem, nor have I ever witnessed anything, but a quick eye scan of the room reminds one that Western Beef isn't the Harvard Club. Being a guy who can handle himself, this isn't a concern, but I'm mindful to accompany my wife if she heads out to this store.
