I've been to been to several PT clinics and can tell you that Atlas stands out. They provide topnotch personalized, professional care. It's refreshing to find folks who really want to help. Why Atlas? - It's NOT part of a big corporation or owned by the treating doctor. Atlas is locally, privately owned by Vicky L. Bledsoe, PT, LAT and Toni Wagner, a safety and occupational health specialist. They are extremely competent, professional, friendly, and genuinely interested in helping you meet your goals as quickly and painlessly as possible. - Vicky worked closely with my doctor throughout treatment, making adjustments along the way to keep treatment on track, making the most of each visit. She shares observations with the doctor that can't observed during a 10-15 minute office visit. Other clinics only sent progress notes every 4-6 weeks, using up allowed visits. - Toni is fabulous at navigating the insurance maze. She helped me to understand my benefits, made sure there were no surprises, and saved me hours and hours of insurance hassle. - PT can be awkward and painful. Vicky immediately puts you at ease, making the work fun. She does everything she can to minimize your discomfort. - Vicky has eyes in the back of her head, noticing the slightest wince, falter, gate change, or instability. She knows exactly how far you can push without hurting yourself. Vicky does a superb job of monitoring your activity and progress. Bottom line: I won't go anywhere else.

I was looking at having a spinal cord stimulator as my last option to help with the low back pain...this after the two surgeries that fused the vertebrate which no longer had anything resembling a disk and countless other procedures from 'injecting the joints' to 'killing the nerves'. I'd been through it all, tried just about every therapy available and was looking at either the stimulator or continued drug therapy. I was already on the highest dose of opana available and filling in with other opiates 'as needed' when I was approved for the stimulator after a trial period. But I really didn't want to go that route...the surgeries didn't go well and I didn't respond positively to anything else I had done in the past, so I had a pretty bad 'gut' feeling about getting the stimulator. I had heard Pete Egoscue on the radio a few times and when I found out they had a clinic here in Austin and wrote Rick with my history and doubts, I really was down to my last option. I have been working with Theresa ever since and I haven't looked back! My only regret is that I wish I would have started with them as my first option...I honestly didn't think I would ever be able to say that I don't have pain in my back. I'm not totally pain free, but I am drug free and pain free eighty percent of the time and for me...after nearly 20 years or constant pain, I'd say that's pretty wonderful. I couldn't have done it without Theresa and everyone at Egoscue!
The experience that I had with Sullivan Physical Therapy was wonderful from start to finish. Crystal, the secretary, was courteous and very helpful. I had an insurance issue and Crystal was able to explain the problem and help me through it. My physical therapist was exceptional. Kimberlee is the most compassionate and warm health professional I have ever met. She was able to talk me through my diagnosis and tell me what was going on in real terms. One of the best things about Sullivan Physical Therapy that I have not received from other physical therapy clinics was that I saw the same therapist each time and I was one on one with her for an hour. Thank you so much for all of the care that I received!!
