A review should be non-emotional. It should be a fair assessment of the product itself. Not a place to bash a company for things you didn't get that you think you deserve. Adding comments like &quot;they don't care about their residents&quot; or &quot;they just want to make money and not give good customer service&quot; are added fluff from people who, more than likely, are impossible to please and just miserable to be around. TLC has been wonderful to me and my 10 other friends who live at 6 different properties around Springfield. Have some of us experienced maintenance issues? Oh yeah. Has it taken TLC long to fix things? No. Why? Because we're understanding that we're not the only people TLC has to serve. If you are so unhappy, go live at a Wooten property or any of the other property management companies in Springfield for that matter. There's a reason that the TLC complexes my friends and I live at are always near full. Go figure.
This is actually my second time to rent from village Club. I originally moved into the 1847 Marsa building from 2006 to 2007 and moved to another property. I moved back to Village club in 2009 where I reside in a duplex that is part of the complex. Maintenance requests are handled in a timely fashion as long as no approval is needed by the corporate office If approval is needed I have had to wait as long as 6 months for a request to be approved. Once the local manager has the approval the work is done very quickly. Angel, the office manager is very courteous and conducts herself in a professional manner and go out of her way to make sure that residents requests or complaints are handled quickly. Likewise Jeff the maintenance guy is very pleasant to deal with. While the outside of the buildings do look shabby the inside of the apartments look very nice and some units have been renovated.
I have been living here for about 6 months and I love every minute of it. Any time I put in for a service request it is done speedy and without hiccup, most have been fixed the day of. The outside of my building (1841 E Marsa) just got an update with new siding and a new stairwell. It looks like they are still working on the front of the building too. The insides are very nice and mine was newly updated before I moved in. Angel, the office manager, has always been very nice and accommodating and Jeff the maintenance man will do anything in his power to make sure your problem is fixed. Just like in any apartment, I can hear my neighbors sometimes, but not enough to where it is a constant problem. If you are looking for a nice, cheap apartment I would suggest looking into Village Club!
