Our purpose is to provide the highest quality medical and surgical care to our patients and to offer the best possible service to our clients. We understand that a pet can be an important member of your family and we will treat your pet as though he were a part of our family. To provide the best quality of care we maintain our hospital with the finest modern equipment and only caring and well trained personnel. Dr. Ted Betzen received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 1981. He has been practicing Veterinary Medicine in Springfield since 1983. In the summer of 1990, Dr. Betzen opened up his new facility located on Enterprise Street, one block north of Sunshine. Please feel free to stop by the hospital to meet the staff or to take a tour of the facility. We feel that we can best serve our clients by providing our own emergency care. Services/Products

Preventative medicine is emphasized at Spring Valley Veterinary Hospital. We provide full service medical, dental, and surgical care and stock a complete line of prescription diets and a pharmacy of both over-the-counter and prescription medication. We are also equipped for emergency care, whether it be medical or surgical in nature. When it is time for surgery on your pet, you can rest assured that he will be in good hands. Isofluorance gas anesthesia is used routinely here. It is the same anesthetic used in human hospitals and is the safest anesthetic available in Veterinary Medicine. This allows us to perform both pediatric and geriatric surgery with equal safety. Professional grooming services are part of the complete health program offered at our hospital. Our staff groomers work with all breeds of dogs and cats, providing clipping, dipping, styling, medicated baths, nail trims and ear cleaning. Boarding is also provided as a service to our clients. For the safety of all pets, it is required that vaccinations be kept current on all pets in boarding.
