Hickman MD Auto & Tire

We went in there to have them check out what safari off road had done to it screwed it up. The guys mike Hickman was so rude wouldn't even come look at our vehicle in parking lot he said he needed paperwork showing what they did before he would even LOOK at it. This guy was so rude then saw a old friend that's works there in parking lot and he came out and said don't touch that car. BC he was mad at my husband for telling him he was a joke for not even getting out of his seat.

These guys always have quality used tires for my vehicles. This is the 2nd vehicle I've bought tires for through them. This time I got a pair of used Michelins and a set of 4 Cooper tires for my dually at a very reasonable price. They even beat Wal-mart's advertised price by $5 per tire installed.



They performed my inspection and answered every question I had very knowledgably. Mike (the owner) is a former mechanical engineer and he made sure I was taken care of right.

These guys are not too bad. The tire and mechanic crew are very helpful and friendly. The front desk service is a little angry or overly stressed. I believe it was Andy Hickman. Also, prices of tires seem to fluctuate.... depending on who you are and how much money you have. But that's just part of buying used tires anywhere. (Writtten by the son of a customer)

In response to "Yogi G", the problem that the car came in for was fixed(lower intake manifold gasket). However, 2 days later a hose blew out which was not part of the original repair. Coolant hoses do randomly blow out. The customer was informed of the misquoted price prior to ANY work being done (the job was still authorized PRIOR to even dropping the car off). This is an unfortunate situation, but we can't change every part on a car in the name of prevention.-Mike Hickman

Wouldn't recommend them to my ex-husband's new wife. Misquoted the price, then lied about reason the quote was wrong (22% more). Vehicle appears (and ran) like it was worked on by a group of kindergartners. Didn't fix problem, then lied about it. Rude. Had to wait to get keys back for the people in front of me in line to finish complaining about how they caused damage to their car. Stay away from this garage.

I called and ask if they do alignment and they said yes when I showed up I waited for about an hour I pulled into eBay and I guess they just wanted to check the front out but they do not do alignment

These guys are awesome. Got 4 used tires in great shape for 1/4 the price of new ones and guys treated my wife wonderfully!! Use them if you need tires new or used.

I love everything about this place! Great people, great service, great quality products and work. I would and do recommend this shop to anyone and everyone. I can't wait for them to open their second shop on July 1st.

Called about some tires, got a quick answer, took a short drive, had a short wait and some good laughs, and was on my way. Totally reasonable price, and stoked about the service. Get those boys some tacos!! They deserve it!

I've used their service a few times, the first I bought a tire from them and the next day it was flat. I called them and told them, they said they remembered me & wouldn't have a problem replacing it. It was a used tire & I paid roughly 25 dollars for it. I came back & they replaced it & it was fine.

The second time I used them I went to get my vehicle inspected but I needed one tire cause the one was showing wire, in order to pass. One of the guys working there that shown me a couple tires said I'd have to buy the both of them he wouldn't split up the set, and wanted 60 dollars when the tread was not worth that, but I was there & needing it done so I agreed. But then when the other guy went to put both on he seen one tire was no good & wouldn't pass itself, so he told me I only had to buy that one & charged me 25 dollars. He was very nice but that other guy was rude. Hickman himself has always been polite to me though. I would recommend them but every place has a bad apple, so if you go there I'd maybe come back at a later time or ask for someone elses service if that one rude guy is there. I over all like the place but my husband likes the place across the street from them better.

I purchased and they put on 4 used tires for me, the price was great. One had dry rot and lasted 3 weeks. When I tried to get the tire replaced I realized that they (Hickman) had lost my wheel lock key and my tire iron, when I asked them about it, the young man was quite nasty. They had also put the lugs on there so tight no one could get them off (any of the 4 wheels). I tried this week to take it back there and they said they would not work on it, and could not get them off. I finally found a shop that would do it but two of the bolts already broke off (being replaced) and I am afraid the other wheels will yield the same thing. Very Expensive Lesson!! I will never go there again especially with a newer car, and would suggest everyone beware.

MD Hickman tire and auto service has proven time and time again to be the most honest, best priced and best turn around of any shop I have ever used. And that includes every state I have lived in, California, Arkansas and Missouri. If you want the best deal and best ethical operation this is the place bar none!!! You would be foolish to go anywhere else. I am not a paid endorsement, just simply a very satisfied customer that wants to spread the word.
