I have lived in Springfield all of my life. Through the years I have shopped many of the current and past resale shops.. This is one of my favorite... I have been a customer since they opened in a small store in 1990. Through the years I have watched as they have evolved into a one of a kind Resale Shop. From the minute you walk in the door you notice the upscale interior. It is very organized and stylishly decorated. The associates are friendly but not pushy, most have been their for many years.. They are glad to answer questions and help.....If you want.. Otherwise they let you browse at leisure. They carry in season clothing and always have a large selection of handbags. This is where I purchased my first Louis Vuitton. My husband thought this was great as I put it in lay a-way and he picked it up for my Birthday present. Was he happy when he saw how much I saved by buying resale..Most of my wardrobe comes from there. They have large dressing rooms to try on clothing. Very helpful to put your items in the dressing rooms while you are still looking and to hang your items back out for you. Brands they carry are some of my favorites...CHICOs, Talbots, Karen Kane, Tibi, Ralph Lauren, White House Black Market, designer Jeans, Jones New York and many more. They also have men's clothing. I love to shop their sales which they usually have two times a year. Jan 1st and July 4th. I hope you will go in yourself and give them a try.. They are very easy to find. Across from the Battlefield Mall on the west side across from Macy's. Tell them I sent you!!! Susan

I do like Gordman's. I have only shopped in the Springfield, MO store. I use to buy a lot of clothing there, but it seems their juniors' section has gotten trashier in the last several yeart. I am talking shirts with no material. I do still check out the misses career type clothing and occasionally find something. I use to buy shoes regularly, but now it seems like their prices are just the same as any other store. I do like that they carry the Kathy Van Zeeland purse line. Those purses are cheaper than Macy's or department stores. I also like the home and picture section. I have purchased several large pictures for my home. They also have some beautiful "iron work" art pieces for the home. I do enjoy the home section (ie candles, flower arrangements, baskets, lamps, etc). They do carry unique items that are not in every other store you shop. The only thing I would truly fault Gordon's on is the return policy. I have returned a couple of things there in the past ten years. That's not a lot considering I am a long time customer. The last time I tried to return something, I did have the receipt. The clerk was very irritable with the customers ahead of me and then acted like taking my item back was a huge hassle. My mom also had some issues returning some clothing. I just have a bad impression of the return policy. If I am not completely sure about an item, I just don't buy it.
I LOVE THIS PLACE IT IS MY FAVORITE PLACE TO GET MY GRUB ON!!!!!!!!!! DECENT PRICES, GOOD QUALITY, GREAT PORTIONS, VERY TASTY.
