I've tanned @ Hawaiian Sun since they opened in 1991 or 1992. I started when the tanning salon was World of Tans then became Hawaiian Sun. I have NEVER had any issues w/ rude employees, beds that were dirty, a salon that was dirty, felt lied to or pressured in any way to buy a tanning pkg or lotion. I have watched the girls clean the beds that I was going to use & I have watched them as they grabbed the bottle of cleaner & towel to clean the bed someone has just came out of. I have recommended this salon to many of my friends over the past 20 years all are still members. Both of my daughters are also members. I have not worked @ Hawaiian Sun or had any family members that are currently or formerly employed by Hawaiian Sun. I've personally never had any negative experiences & not one of my friends or family members have either. As far as "stealing" your money goes, I've never had any problems w/ them having my information to automatically take my payment to them. As for the lotions, I've NEVER seen their lotions for half the price on EBay & I have checked for them. I, as well as my family & the many friends who are still members, have never had any of the problems or complaints from some of these reviews. I would highly recommend Hawaiian Sun before any other tanning salon in Springfield. It's the best, cleanest & friendliest tanning salon I've been to.

This is a family owned business. Yes, the location is shady outside, but I know and trust the owners and staff. They are knowledgeable in tanning, many employees have been trained and to convention. The owners used to also own a tanning supply company and supplied nearly ALL the tanning bed companies in Springfield so they know what they are doing and they DO change their bulbs! The inside got a makeover a few years ago with fresh paint and new signs (inside not out). It is clean and well run. Don't judge this book by its cover - you'll be sorry. I have been known to drive across town (it is nowhere near where I live, but I lived near here in college) to tan here. The owner currently lives in Texas, but is a minister and runs an honest business. He comes in during the week as needed to take care of things and has "behind the scene" helpers who have been trained that handle them while he is away. Not everyone will have the same opinion, but please don't speak lies and trash small businesses - try it - it's clean and they DO CHANGE THEIR BULBS!
It is small and it does look a little shady from the street but it is a great tanning salon. The person who wrote that they are getting ready to go under doesn't realize that they have been in bussiness for a long time. The staff are mostly young but they are nice and they clean the beds well! It is small inside but it is very clean!! I recommend it to anyone and they change the bulbs very often so I always ask them if they have put in new bulbs since I was there last because I will burn if I stay in the whole time. I always get a good tan there and the staff is nice, the beds are clean and it is reasonable in price! It is sometimes busy and requires a small weight but most of the time you can get right in! If you want to get a nice tan from a good, clean salon-go to Paradise!! From the outside I probably never would have tried this tanning salon but a friend of mine went there so I decided to go with her and I am glad I did. Just keep an open mind and as soon as you walk in the doors you will be happy. It is a great place-try it!!!
