Howdy, folks. The employees are always friendly and helpful. The store is clean enough but I have been to grocery stores outside Missouri that were cleaner, neater, tidier, etc. For this area the cleanliness is adequate. I did not give the final 5th star due to what I consider to be high prices in general. For whatever reason, I have found most grocery stores in this area to be high-priced compared to stores outside Missouri. I get the impression this area is off to the side of the main food distribution channels resulting in higher prices and a noted lack of quality with produce and very high prices for those veggie comestibles.
The selection is quite adequate for this area, Kroger quality is guaranteed, and price competitive with lesser quality goods at all major chains in the area , Oh ..and I visit daily around 9:30am for the in store mark downs, usually along the back of the store, which leads to the employees becoming like family due to the daily visits. Yeah, good merchandise , good people, awesome prices, check cashing, also MoLotto and RedBox machines. I only gave it 3 Stars because the manager removed the wall CLOCK from the west wall of customer service, I based everything on that clock, it's left me very depressed :(
Disappointed when I called the pharmacy wanting a price quote and neither of the two employees I spoke with would do it. One said she'd look it up but never came back to the phone. The second, a male employee just plain hateful. Refused to look up the cost because he didn't have that medication currently in stock. People in other parts of the store friendly, helpful, and easy to find, though. Decent selection, but outrageously high prices. Trip between bus stop and store much more realistic for physically challenged customers, than the arrangement at the Nolting Ave. store.
