We try to simplify the preparation of insurance claims and thereby hold down costs unrelated to the delivery of quality medical care. We bill directly to most major health insurance plans as an additional service to our patients. Please verify that your insurance information and address is correct with our receptionist. Many insurance plans require a referral from a primary care provider in order for your visit to be considered a covered benefit. It is your responsibility to maintain a current referral for all initial and subsequent follow-up visits to the clinic. Family Practice
Dan Rhoads brings over twenty eight years of medical experience to Spokane Dermatology Clinic. Dan proudly began his medical career serving as a medical service specialist in the US Air Force. He served on active duty for three years in Spain and another four years in Texas. After leaving active duty, he served another five years in the Air Force Reserves. Dan graduated from the University of Washington's Physician Assistant Program in 1997. He practiced family medicine and urgent care in Mesquite Nevada for two years. He then joined Las Vegas Skin and Cancer Clinic where he received extensive training in Medical and Surgical Dermatology. Dan Rhoads continues his practice of Medical and Surgical Dermatology here in Spokane, adding training in Cosmetic Dermatology as well as participating in many FDA clinical research studies.

Internal Medicine
Wm. Philip Werschler MD is the founding member of Spokane Dermatology Clinic and Werschler Aesthetics. Previously, Dr. Werschler founded both Aesthetics Skin Care and the Aesthetic Image Medical Spa. Dr. Werschler received his medical degree, with distinction, from George Washington University Medical Center, Washington, D.C. After graduation, Dr. Werschler was invited to the University of Arizona, where he completed his preliminary residency training in internal medicine. He was then was asked to return to George Washington University where he completed his Dermatology fellowship. During his time in Washington, D.C., Dr. Werschler was selected to attend dermatology clinical consultations at the prestigious National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD. Dr. Werschler has been an active teaching member of the University of Washington faculty for over 20 years, where he serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Medicine/Dermatology. He has previously served as a Clinical Instructor in Dermatology at the George Washington University, School of Medicine, Washington, D.C. He is affiliated with several professional societies, including a full fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Society for Dermatological Surgery, and the American Society for Mohs Surgery. Dr. Werschler is also a founding member and twice past President of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery as well as a past President of the Washington State Dermatology Association and the Spokane County Medical Society. Dr. Werschler has also completed the Physician Entrepreneurship program offered by the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University and the AMA.

Mohs Surgery
Each layer may take 30-60+ minutes, depending on the size and shape of the tissue layer to process. As a result, MOHS surgery requires patience by both the patient and the physician. It is recommended that all MOHS patients allow adequate time to complete the procedure without interruption.

Dr. Werschler is an internationally recognized expert in both medical and cosmetic dermatology/aesthetic surgery. It is in this capacity, he has been honored to serve as a FDA investigator for clinical trials throughout his career. Today, nearly all of the FDA approved aesthetic injectable dermal fillers and toxins were tested in his research center, Premier Clinical Research, in Spokane WA. Dr. Werschler is especially proud of his selection as one of the original Botox FDA investigators, where the pivotal clinical trial for FDA approval of Botox Cosmetic was performed in his office. A widely sought after consultant in the business of medical drug and device development, Dr. Werschler has been instrumental in the development of many FDA approved drugs and devices. This includes Clarisonic skin care brush, for which he was a principal investigator as well as the Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board. Currently, Dr. Werschler is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of PolyRemedy, San Jose, CA. PolyRemedy is an innovative manufacturer of Cellulation skin care technology, designed for anti-aging applications. Dr. Werschler is also the CMO for Virtual Dermatologic, a pioneer in telemedicine/teledermatology. Serving on the advisory boards of the most prominent pharmaceutical drug and device corporations, Dr. Werschler is also widely regarded as an industry expert in small-capital start-up entities.
Plastic Surgery
Joining Spokane Dermatology Clinic in 2002, Pam has since specialized in laser medicine, cosmetic dermatology, and medical grade skincare while focusing on the specialized needs of her patients. She attends several cosmetic dermatology and plastic surgery conferences annually throughout the country teaching and learning advanced cosmetic techniques. Moreover, Pam has received advanced training in the use of neuromodulators and dermal fillers from many top plastic surgeons and dermatologists from around the world. She also actively pursues ongoing education and training in laser medicine through American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery conferences. Pam continues to be a trainer for Allergan, Galderma, and Merz, teaching beginning and advanced injection techniques locally in the Pacific Northwest, nationally, as well as internationally. She also serves as a consultant to the skin care industry and specializes in the teaching of skin care techniques with different product lines, the best of which are carried at Werschler Aesthetics Medical Spa.
