Doc's North Division Muffler Clinic

If you are going to take your car into Doc's be sure not to call and ask how much it is going to cost. When I called the man on the phone told me a muffler replacement out the door would be $74.99. After calling into 3 other shops around the same area that was the best price so I went in. When I got there the two guys behind the little counter were nice enough but very condescending. The older one told me I had a misfiring spark plug and that wasn't something they could help me with. I told him there was a hole in my muffler. He proceeded to argue with me for 3 minutes until I finally told him that, no, there was a hole in my muffler for sure because you can see the puffs of air coming out the side of it. Then he very smugly told me that fine they would humor me and get it on the lift. After about 30 seconds of standing under my car he comes back to tell me the "good" news that my spark plugs are not the problem. That he is sorry but there is a hole in my muffler. SHOCKING. I said I called earlier and was told it would be $74.99 out the door was that still the price? Nope, of course not. It is now going to cost me $79.99 + tax and its too late to take it to any other shop because by the time I get there its going to be closed. Took half an hour or so to get the $84.79 job done and as it turns out they didn't put the straps back on in front of the catalytic converter and my egr has snapped off at the threads, so now the $74.99 out the door price they lied about is going to cost me even more. Woohoo. They have a very cool muffler car out front, thats about the only good thing about them.

Ken does excellent work for great prices. My car sounds so nice after they were done with it. Definitely recommend them to anyone!

Well to start, they were pretty nice, said my warranty was good for so long. Yesterday i bought and put in a short shifter, it was hitting on the pipe, and so i took it into today, they claimed they fixed it, but as you can guess nothing was changed.



So i went back out told him that it was still hitting, he said no its not.... So i showed him and he still was ignorant. He took it back in after a pissy attitude, and fixed it up. After i started getting a little irritated with his attitude towards his customers, saying i just spent $400+ on that 2 weeks ago, i thought he would be glad to help.



After he showed me when it was up on the tracks, i showed him what i was talking about, and how the converter was suppose to be further back, him being rude then questioned my knowledge on working on cars, and basically called me dumb. Now who appreciates thats when i have worked on more cars then he has seen, i have just not done a ton of muffler work. Then he said if i wouldn't stop complaining or being 'sassy' he would charge me.



Overall there customer service his horrible, and there service all together is bad. I would not let anyone i know nor a stranger to go to this terrible place.
