My glasses broke and I was not expecting the kind of service I got the minute I walked in the door. The receptionist was right on it, called a tech to look at the glasses and it was determined they could not be fixed, she took control checked if my insurance paid anything and had all the paperwork to show me. It turned out they did pay for the frames, so I picked out a new frame and checked out and they will call me in a couple days to come pick them up. Fantastic service!! I have already recommended you to a good friend at work and she also thinks you are great, she is going to bring her husband in.
I was completely baffled by the amazing customer service i received at my visit. Every single person in the office was exceptional and never once made me feel uncomfortable, rushed, or an inconvenience. I work for a company that works with high profile clients and top notch customer service is an absolute must. Sometimes we tend to get picky with the type of service we receive outside of the shop and expect the best when normally its mediocre. DeMers Family Vision gave me that service I felt was deserved.

New to Demers I wanted to have my entire family at the same doctors so made an appointment for 4 of us to get eye exams. The exams went fine but when we went to pick frames the experience left a lot to be desired.
Picked out frames got measured and picked out additional features. When it came time to order the frames I was told I'd have to pay the balance before they would place the order. This is the first time this has happened, I've always paid the balance when I picked up the glasses. So I told him I'd pay the balance at the end of the month.
Came back at the end of the month and I had purchased frames online instead of purchasing from them. There frames were way over priced!! First of all they couldn't find my order on their computer or on paper. I know an order had been written up because I was watching him write it on the previous visit. I thought the price I owed would be $240 less, because I had purchased the frames online but no it was $150 more. This was explained away that he must not have understood the insurance.
Needless to say I won't be going back.
I was very impressed by the doctors and staff at DeMers. I was referred by a friend and was glad to find a doctor who really cares about the health of my eyes, not just filling their pocket book. Sure, they make money, but it's because they know how to treat people right. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, they also have a great selection of frames at reasonable prices. On top of that, they're in such an excellent location! I'll definitely be going back and telling all my friends about them.
I recently changed eye Doctors to Dr. DeMers. What an great change. I just went through the most complete eye exam I have ever had. Not only complete, well explained gentle and I really felt well cared for. My last eye Doctor, well, there were many reasons why I switched. They have a fantastic selection of frames and lenses, if you can't find what your looking for here, then you have no idea what your looking for. Now my whole family goes HERE. I strongly recommend these fine caring Doctors. Great staff as well, just a very well run professional office.
Even though the Doctors and Staff are new, their customer service and caring attitude has not changed. The patient ALWAYS comes first. I have personally seen the Doctors and the ladies up front go out of their way to make the patient comfortable, happy, and secure. They have all of the latest equipment and it makes me feel that they really care enough to give you a good exam. Their office is open convenient hours for patients, including some Holidays and all Saturdays. What other family run business goes out of their way like this? I have seen some reviews of upset patients for really DUMB reasons. A patient of "40 years" was mad because there was new Doctors and Staff. Do you really expect an 85 year old man to continue practicing Optometry to make you happy? Who makes a career out of being a receptionist? I don't care if there are new people as long as they have the same underlying attitude - the patient comes first. Their prices are cheaper than ANYONE else around and they will work with you on payments. I am impressed with their stability and WONDERFUL knowledge.

New ownership took over and has brought the practice down hill. Unable to hold the good reputation built from the past doctors, old management and employees that made you feel special and cared for. To bad the past practice is a thing of the past of caring 110% for the patients is no longer. Money is the only thing on the new owners mind and not patient care. Morals needs to be learned by the new owners, but very unlikely. My family and friends were past patient of the ""ORIGANAL"" practice for over 30 wonderful years with no problems. Sad lost for the Sparks/Reno area when the old practice left. VERY SAD
