I recently got two tattoo designs done within a week's time. The first one was a purple and blue rose on my upper right arm and the other was a success cat on the calve of my left leg. Both pieces like many others have been done by Pistol Pete. What I like about him is that he hears what you have to say and provides some input if he sees how your tattoo will look much better. He is always been very helpful and considerate and always welcomes new and existing clientele. I have always taken images or designs and gives you the better than expected results. He is not the typical tattoo shop where is some guy telling you what he thinks you need to have or even be rude or having an attitude like many other shops. The best thing about Pistol Pete is that he has a light touch with the needle which makes little or no pain felt in the work being done! Texas Made Tattoo provides a comfortable, relaxed, almost like your at home environment and is family oriented. Instructions on how to take care of your ink or piercings is very detailed and specific. Texas Made Tattoo is the place to go for a great tattoo using only quality ink by Eternal Ink and quality equipment all 100% sterile and safe. A professional staff who is there to help you to achieve the look you are looking for whether its ink or a piercing or both. This is the place for you to go all at a reasonable price for what you are looking for if you are looking for a quality that lasts a lifetime.
I got a tattoo done by Red the other day and all I can say is I am extremely happy with it. I have had tattoos done at Texas Tattoo Emporium and Texas Body Art and his work puts the tattoos I got at those studios to shame. I brought a picture of what I wanted in the day before and he said no problem and had it sketched up when I went back the next day. He drawing was exactly like what I showed him except for a few improvements he made to it. After he finshed that tattoo, I showed him a tattoo on my back that was supposed to be a lotus flower but instead looked like a blue and orange blob (Texas Tattoo Emoprium) and asked him if he could do anything to fix it. He explaned what he could do to fix it and then drew it on my back and then tattooed it. What a difference! It now looks like a lotus flower. I couldn't have been happier. I am so glad I went to The Black Pearl and if I ever get anything else done this will be the place that I will go.
I arrived as a walkin customer during a short visit to Houston. I started talking to Shane, the owner of Studio 8 about a Japanese inspired tattoo that I had wanted for several years. He showed me some of his drawings and I knew he understood exactly the style I wanted. I then explained that this was to be a cover-up and showed him the large dark upper arm tattoo that I wanted to go away. I really figured that the conversation would end there, but he shocked the hell out of me when he said "no problem, I'll just draw it directly on your arm". He told me his rate and we got started. I left that evening with a beautiful upper arm "sleeve" and plans for more visit's to houston for more work. Tell Shane you want to see the photo's of "Gator's" cover-up and you will understand why I took the time to write this!
