After several disappointing appointments at numerous bridal shops in Austin, we literally stumbled upon this diamond in the rough. If you're looking for a beautiful, stylish wedding gown at a reasonable price and customer service that makes you feel like the only bride in the world, then this is the place! If you must shop at a fancy high priced, high end salon, then this is not the place for you. But, if you're on a tight budget and want a beautiful wedding gown that compares to the high end salons, then your search is over. This is a family owned business and they take care of their customers with a personal touch. Ms. Ann is the kindest, sweetest woman. She is the tailor/seamstress and nothing is impossible for her! Diane was our consultant and has the patience of a Saint! Both of these ladies are so kind and down to earth. There were hundreds of dresses in the store and an incredible selection of dresses in my size which is a 14/16 (probably 30 or so to choose from in my size alone) and every one of them was SO reasonably priced. There is really something for every budget and every personal style. The other salons we had appointments with had just a couple of dresses in my size and the prices were outrageous and the alterations cost half as much as the dress! Austin Bridal offered us a 50% discount on alterations! I can't speak highly enough of this business and the two remarkable women we had the pleasure of working with. My daughter and I recently had the most amazing experience at this store. Her first wedding dress was ordered at a local salon. After waiting 6 months we took to a seamstress to alter neckline and change the design some. (note: don't ever try to redesign a dress!) The dress, with each fitting, became a disaster. One week before her bridal portrait , we walked into David's Bridal to look for a lace jacket, sleeves, or something to try to fix the problem. Sarah, the manager, met us at the door and was so sweet as we explained our dilemma. We looked over and saw a dress they had just received and I told my daughter she should try it on. Molly, the sales associate, was awesome in dealing with us and our emotions at the thought of buying a SECOND wedding dress! The entire staff made our experience an event. The alteration department managed by Leslie, is the best anywhere! Every detail was discussed with Sefika and Dutch. Kim, Juan, and Lai then did the magic in record time. EVERYONE was so professional from the front door to the alteration fittings plus they made us feel so special. After her engagement, we actually had an appointment in New York City at Vera Wang's Bridal House. We know the customer service provided to us at David's Bridal could not have been topped even at Vera Wang's flagship store. Thanks to you all !
Our wedding experience at Villa St. Clair was nothing short of amazing. For starters, they were incredible during the planning phase. Staff were very patient, helpful, and understanding. They provided great recommendations on food and decorations. On the day of the event, they absolutely pampered the wedding party and took especially good care of us, the bride and groom. Before and after the ceremony, we were never without a snack or something to drink. There was always someone there to help with anything. The ceremony was flawless. The venue was everything and more than we had imagined. The hors d'oeuvres were amazing, staff were on top of everything, and the dinner was simply outstanding. I received so many compliments on the beauty of the event and how wonderful the food tasted and was presented. To date, I have received not a single complaint (we had nearly 200 in attendance). To end the evening, they ensured that we had some water and snacks loaded into our car for the evening. Then staff helped family and friends load up the gifts and other wedding left-overs . To sum it all up, we literally felt like we had under-paid at the end of it all. Our experience from beginning to end is a 10 out of 10!! Matt & Natasha 3/2011
