    Good but not great.

Good but not great. I've been here a few times and have mostly enjoyed what I've eaten. The salmon is phenomenal, but portions sizes do tend to be small for the price. The atmosphere is nice, but everytime I've been in there I'm FREEZING. Especially in the winter, I sat next to the fire place (which was off) and the flu was open! I'm usually not a complaining customer but I've asked to move a couple of times away from the freezing air ducts/open fire place. Room for improvement, but still a good restaurant.

Don't waste your time or money.

Don't waste your time or money. We eat out at least 3 or 4 times per week. All meals have not been the best but this is the worst I ever had. We started with the soup. Not bad a little salty but a very small cup. Than the bread came. There was such a big hole in the bread there was no place for butter just crust and dry. . My husband had the fish and chips. Said it was OK. I had the Salmonburger. The salmon must have swam real fast because there was not even a hint of salmon flavor or meat. There was only bread crumbs held together with butter. The sauce on top was good but very little of it.. Would never go back and would discourage my friends from going.

Great food, a good wine selection, and excellent service. Both my wife and I had a wonderful meal at Mainely Seaford on a busy Saturday night. Without a reservation, we were able to score a comfortable table by the bar, and had an exquisite meal! We'll be back and we'll bring our friends too!

    Beyond disappointed

    Provided by YPmobile

Decided to try this restaurant after mixed reviews. Suffice to say by my rating it was beyond horrible. The service was so very slow, to the point that a drink took 20 minutes. Not acceptable ! In fairness the apps were very good but then came dinner. My husbands fish was raw. He quietly told the waiter who apologized and agreed it was not edible. Half an hour later no new meal had come out. Instead what we think must have been the manager appeared and asked if he would like it cooked . Are you joking ???????? My sole was full of bones and my mothet's scampi had a peculiar flavor. The only decent meal was another party members linguini and clams. I wouldn't eat there again if it were free. It is sad because the atmosphere is great and despite having high hopes for a good meal we were beyond words disgusted with the service and attitude mostly. Granted they were busy but that Is no excuse for bad food and service.

Service is very TERRIBLE & SLOW!

Service is very TERRIBLE & SLOW! Went for the first time for my Hubby's birthday and it will be my LAST! Reserved our table at 6pm and didn't get our entree dish 'til 7:30pm. They give you very little portions of sauce and food for unreasonable prices. Jumbo Shrimp isn't "jumbo!" Tossed salad w/ dressing; they give you enough dressing for just one leaf! Soup; very small cup! The food is good, but is not good to go or for leftovers. I reheated alfredo pasta in microwave and all the juice of oil came out on the bottom all oily! Yuck! Didn't look saucy or cheesy as it did when they first served it. The place is tight! No room to walk anywhere. You bump into waiters/waitresses and the people gets in your way! The tables are not leveled the same height when put together. They only have 1 set of doubled doors in the entrance. Cold drafts come in when people enter. They should have another double door on the other side. I highly don't recommend this restaurant to anyone! Waste of time & money! Btw, my crab cakes didn't taste like crabs. Very mushy taste. I'd rather choose Anthony Jacks Wood Fired Grill over this restaurant! Mainely Seafood doesn't taste like seafood!

First let me tell you the good things…

First let me tell you the good things…the restaurant was nicely decorated, nice ambiance. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The Seafood Bake dish was good, not great, but good. The not so good things…the sautéed calamari was rubber, the shrimp over cooked. The soup was as good as a canned soup, the portion was small, just enough room to fit the spoon. Overall, disappointed with the food, especially for a restaurant specializing in seafood. Prices where high for the quality of the dishes.

Went there for dinner with my family…

Went there for dinner with my family after a collegue]s recommendation. I was really excited about a seafood restaurant in town, however it was very disappointing.

The service was adequate and the pita chips with crab topping was delicious, and that was about it. The main entrees at $25+ were horrible. The stuffed shrimp was so overcooked that it was as hard as wood. Another entree was the chicken with risotto. It was literally 8-Minute Rice slathered in runny sauce. Not creamy like a risotto at all. The third entree was the breaded sole with capers. I know capers are slightly acidic, but the dish was more acidic than hydrochloric acid. I don't think a bottle of Tums is going to ease the stomach ache.

The waitress noticed we were not happy and got the owner over. Our waitress informed us that they were going to remove one dish from the bill b/c I had one bite. Most of the risotto was untouched, but they didn't remove it or even discount it. Owner didn't apologize or come out at the end to tell us what she was going to do. Instead she just sent her waitress. I found this unprofessional. Not even sure if the owner has restaurant or customer service knowledge. Will not be going back.

Avoid at all cost, the salad had rotted lettuce as well as some type of chick pea that had turned as well. Our filets were ordered medium rare but came as very well. The culprit was the butter for our stuffed shrimp that had a nasty taste to it,my girl made it to the car and threw up her meal promptly,I made it home before shedding of mine.A hundred dollars later, sick, never again....
