My experience with KDI could not have been any better. My grandparents were looking at getting new counter tops in their kitchen and as lifetime Downriver residents, wanted to give their business to a family-owned Downriver company. As life happens, grandparents are generally not the easiest customers to work with. They went in with zero idea of what they wanted and the patience and customer care that KDI displayed could not be duplicated. My grandparents visited the showroom practically every other week, full of questions and often changing their minds. For the rest of our family, this was a tedious process of them trying to come to a decision of what they wanted for their kitchen. The staff at KDI continued to be patient, informative, and exceptionally kind. The owner himself was available by phone and in person when questions arose. When my grandparents finally made their decision it was near Christmastime and KDI was, of course, quite busy with holiday jobs. However, KDI still came out to measure in a timely manner. While measuring, my grandmother was complaining she couldn't find a paint color she liked and the KDI employee suggested a color he used in his own home, which she ended up loving and using herself!! Installation began within a week and the job was done with precision and care. You cannot see a single seam in the counter top and my grandparents could not be more thrilled with the job. Anyone who can provide excellent quality service to some of the more persnickety customers deserve to have their praises sung on Yelp. Often people hop immediately on the internet when they want to complain and have someone listen to them. It is those who are happy with the job who don't feel the need to write about it and instead invite all their family over to enjoy a meal in the new kitchen.
