Liked abcott's pct program. The best thing in the whole training is that you get employment during the clinical. I did my clinical for 2 days only and was offered a position in hospital. They are looking very humble and polite people( later on my manager told me) that school manager bob personally recommended my name. Bob and Simona are best there. Lady in financial aide is little mean Kay hicks. All she favors is blacks. The other black lady pat goes by books which is good for serious students like me. Some students who are just in school to get the financial aid, it's not a right program for them, they could always go and apply good stamps at work first. I loved the program. It's short? Informative and the best thing is if your attendance is good, you are cooperative and respectable to your teachers and administrator, they recommend your name to hospitals without you knowing about it. My manager ( when I got hired) shown me all single notes taken about me at abcott's office like; I left early from class, I slept, I argue, I helped as volunteer in graduation etc. do be careful what you act in school, it may give or snatch an employment.

Abcott institute's pct program is best in Michigan. I'm saying this because I went through Dorsey and Ross and found Abcott best in terms of price as well as teaching. Instructors are great. You get quality instructions plus they pay for your certification exam. They give you all books and supplies like stethoscope, no cuff and collection tubes. Noting that you get to take those home. I felt very proud. They give you abcott's scrub sets. I got two sets if those. Also good thing at Abcott was I got financial aid refund because abcott's tuition is low compare to Dorsey and Ross.One thing I notice at Abcott that most of my classmates were offered employment at the same location where we did our clinicals. Few girls refused to take those job because they were receiving CASh assistance from state. I took the job offer A&F nursing home I did mg clinicals with Abcott. My job is pating me $16:00. I also jig job offer at hospital as EKG specialist but I have to complete my program at Abcott, because hospital wAnts to see my pct certification of completion. I'm going to finish up my program In two weeks and then I can apply at hospital. Ill bd making $23.0 an hour which is much better pay than my nursing home job. Abcott's pct is awesome program. One thing I noticed that management personally recommends few names for employment at hospital and all those were hired. They recommend only few of us because we were food with our attendance and we were " Abcott's ANGEL." There is a manager at Abcott Simona she helps you to become angel at Abcott.once you become angel at Abcott your name goes for employment

This School is the worst that I have every went to. I took a PCT class here and the PCT was the same as the CNA we sat around for 4 to 6 weeks not doing anything the class was reading out of a book which each one of us took turn reading, the Beds and the EKG and other things that was to teach on was broken. This class was paid threw NO WORKERS LEFT BEHIND program and that is what all Abccott is wanting is the money not caring about teaching or anything else. The Orientation was nothing but a major sale it promise alot but nothing was even true also the school was black listed from Michigan Works than they went and change names and started over Bob and his Wife just wanted to brush everything under the carpet and push things along till this day not any help or any job placement just not that i took the PCT test and was very surprised cause there was at least half of the stuff on there was never in or book I would let everyone know about this and i would tell everyone not to go there
