After several disappointing appointments at numerous bridal shops in Austin, we literally stumbled upon this diamond in the rough. If you're looking for a beautiful, stylish wedding gown at a reasonable price and customer service that makes you feel like the only bride in the world, then this is the place! If you must shop at a fancy high priced, high end salon, then this is not the place for you. But, if you're on a tight budget and want a beautiful wedding gown that compares to the high end salons, then your search is over. This is a family owned business and they take care of their customers with a personal touch. Ms. Ann is the kindest, sweetest woman. She is the tailor/seamstress and nothing is impossible for her! Diane was our consultant and has the patience of a Saint! Both of these ladies are so kind and down to earth. There were hundreds of dresses in the store and an incredible selection of dresses in my size which is a 14/16 (probably 30 or so to choose from in my size alone) and every one of them was SO reasonably priced. There is really something for every budget and every personal style. The other salons we had appointments with had just a couple of dresses in my size and the prices were outrageous and the alterations cost half as much as the dress! Austin Bridal offered us a 50% discount on alterations! I can't speak highly enough of this business and the two remarkable women we had the pleasure of working with. We felt like we were a part of their family when we left. Thank you Ms. Ann and Diane!
My daughter and I recently had the most amazing experience at this store. Her first wedding dress was ordered at a local salon. After waiting 6 months we took to a seamstress to alter neckline and change the design some. (note: don't ever try to redesign a dress!) The dress, with each fitting, became a disaster. One week before her bridal portrait , we walked into David's Bridal to look for a lace jacket, sleeves, or something to try to fix the problem. Sarah, the manager, met us at the door and was so sweet as we explained our dilemma. We looked over and saw a dress they had just received and I told my daughter she should try it on. Molly, the sales associate, was awesome in dealing with us and our emotions at the thought of buying a SECOND wedding dress! The entire staff made our experience an event. The alteration department managed by Leslie, is the best anywhere! Every detail was discussed with Sefika and Dutch. Kim, Juan, and Lai then did the magic in record time. EVERYONE was so professional from the front door to the alteration fittings plus they made us feel so special. After her engagement, we actually had an appointment in New York City at Vera Wang's Bridal House. We know the customer service provided to us at David's Bridal could not have been topped even at Vera Wang's flagship store. Thanks to you all !
I went into the store primarliy for the trunk show to see some dresses that they wouldnt normally have. It was my first time trying on a dress and I found it! I had my dress in an hour! I ended up buying a sample of a dress that I thought I could never afford and it fit like a glove, only the hem would need to be altered. The consultant was wonderful and patient and never made me feel bad for not only trying on all full retail gowns. Towards the end of the appointment two other consultants were rude though, one just walked in the room and left the door open while she got a number off a gown as I am there in my undies and never said sorry or nocked or anything. I was there with one of my bridesmaids and she was trying on a couple dresses as I was trying on just to get an idea, well we found the dress and then another consultant finding this out just came in the room and started hanging dresses for one of her girls, which was fine except she couldnt wait one minute for my bridesmaid to get dressed before opening the door. My consultant was awesome but the others were a little iffy. I would go there again, actually I am since my wedding venue and time of year changed and I need a new dress now.
