There are few comforting things about losing a loved one. In fact, it was the most traumatic events of my life when my father died. As an only child responsible for the arrangements of his father's funeral, the staff at Collins funeral home were UNBELIEVABLY helpful, sensitive and concerned about mine and my mother's well being while taking care of the many details of my father's funeral. Additionally, the cost, relative to some of the competitors in the area, was in some cases half. That, combined with the support and comfort of a family oriented and family focused business, made bearable a fairly unbearable event. Thank you to John McHugh and the entire Collins Funeral Home staff for their love, care, concern and attention to detail inspired me to give them such a glaring review. I highly recommend them to handle the arrangements for a lost one's last celebration.

They forgot to sign the forms to request the death certificates for my father. I called repeatedly to ask when they would arrive, they never called to provide any information (even after I asked a mamger to contact me). I finally had to go there and sit and wait for 15 minutes while they figured where they screwed up, and to find out that after 3 weeks they still did not have the certificates and only after I continued to complain they sent a person to get them that day. Do not go here unless you want to wait and wait 3 weeks to get the deceased's death certificate.
