Don't even bother calling anyone else. These people are GREAT!! I made an early morning call to A1 Carpet Cleaning after discovering my sunken den flooded on Halloween morning. Within a hour and a half they were here ready to work quickly to stop any damage to our rugs and furniture. It was a really long day for workers Christie and I believe Terry. They were efficient, caring and making sure that we had no hidden damage. I could not have asked for a better job. I will be referring all my friends and family to you guys. Thank you so much!!

Do NOT use them. My floor was supposed to be dry in about 1 hour. I used the truck mount because it is supposed to clean better and dry quicker bc its vaccuum is stronger than the portables. So I scheduled movers to bring furniture 5 hours later. My floor was soaked when we got there. So I had them cram everything into a large den that hadn't been cleaned. The movers left and I called. The owner said too late in the day he would call me first thing in the morning. Well, he never called. I had to call him. He told me I was the "only" one with a problem that day, so it couldn't have been his machine it had to be the carpet. Then he said I had it too cold and too hot. He told me "What part of what I'm saying don't you understand". He talked crap to me cause I am a woman. I told him it was soaked 12 hours later cause my mothers slippers were soaked from walking on the floor. He sent out 2 people the next day who told me my movers should have still put my furniture up using the 1.5 inch styrofoams the guy left. Yeah right they tried using under a desk. the desk wouldn't stay on them so they used a couple of extra. How was I going to the styrofoam out from under my entertainment center. I hired movers bc I can't pick up that heavy furniture. Ohh, the owner hurried and cash my check the next morning instead of calling me like he said. Once he got my money he didn't care. Don't waste your time

Agree with the other reviewers. Call someone else. They show up 30 minutes late, offer no explanation, start to add on services, asked that they not be paid by debit card so they can get paid faster. They are very unprofessional and customer service is not a value. When you call the office, the receptionist is very friendly but the gentleman reflects the same, "I don't have time for you, take or leave it, attitude." If they truly have valuable and competitive products, then they should set their price and stand behind their services and products. People will pay more for quality and excellent service. Instead of pretending they really are affordable and good and show up and try to add on and get as much as they can out of you. It's deceptive. I can get the same results renting a carpet cleaner. I ended up calling someone else and was happy to double the payment they charged. Service and honesty counts for something.

Bait and switch. prices advertised are just to get their grubby workers in your home only to overcharge you and I by the looks of reviews .ruin your carpet

I was going though the phone book looking to get my carpets cleaned and saw an ad for 14.95 a room plus tax well after talking to a girl in the office I book a day for them to come out. Well they arive and strat looking at all the rooms we wanted cleaned they started telling me that the 14.95 a room cleaning would not clean my carpet and that it would need to be power scrub and it was 25 dollars a room and the they would have to use a differnt cleaning chemical then the 14.95 a room and that was 25 dollars a room so now my 59.80 cleaning jumped up to 200.00 dollars

Stay as far away from these guy as you can it took my carpet 3 days to dry and then did it stink when I call and conplained about it the owner would never return my calls

About 8 months ago, our mobile home had a sewer back-up due to problems with the set up and associated plumbing. The plumber and mobile home dealer wanted to put a band aid on the problem, and not fix things properly. This lasted for 6 months, and I began to suspect mold problems. A friend, an insurance adjuster, recommended A-1 American Carpet Cleaning. My husband gave them a call, and also filed suit against the plumber and the mobile home dealer. A-1 came out (John Combs), photographed everything, interviewed my husband and I, and began testing. He explained the standards of care that were not followed, the associated dangers, and made preliminary suggestions. He showed us written information supporting his recommendations. Then, he gave us a written preliminary letter answering our questions. We hired him to continue a more thorough investigation. Since we had filed suit, we gave his letter to our attorney and explained that John was concerned for our health and the safety of our future in this home. The opposing parties prepared to depose John, 1 deposition for each of their attorneys. Although John's letter was only preliminary, he cited support for his position on lack of following industry standards of care. Once his letter was received by the other attorneys, before his report waas even finished, the other side dropped their requests for deposition, and agreed to buy back our mobile home IN FULL, along with out-of-pocket expenses. A-1 was wonderful, professional, and seemed to know the laws of the industry better than any of the attorneys involved!

Ican't recommend these people enough!

I own several rental properties in Shreveport, and was referred to A-1 American for a tough pet odor job. They came out, made professional recommendations on spotting and odor. Their high temperature truck mount cleaned circles around the people I've tried before. They got 99% of the heavy spotting and 100% of the pet odor. They took extra time to explain their methods and proceedures, which really worked perfect. I recommend these people highly. Very knowledgeable and experienced.
