Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead

Perfect for little kids that can't spend 8 hours at the zoo! My daughter has been going there since about a year old and she's almost 3 now. Loves feeding the baby goats and get on the hayride! Hopefully by next year she won't be scared to ride the pony as well. Great place, great staff, lots of animal, lots of shade, a few playgrounds in the shade again with age appropriate slides; there's even area with cold mist where you can run through to cool off. It's free during the week, and $2 on the weekend. We go there about once a month if not even more. It's really fun for the Halloween activities as well! I wish they'd open one on the MO side as well, so we don't have to drive 45 min to get there...

Its large, not expensive and has so much stuff to do! My two girls love this place! I think its better than the actual kc zoo.

Farmstead very unique and well thought out. Pleasant atmosphere for children and parents and grandparents. A must see for any local or visitor!
