        Established in 1949, the Sharon Township Fire Department employs a team of men and women firefighters. The fire department maintains equipment, such as tankers, pumpers, grass fire fighters and quick-attack trucks. It has a team of volunteer and paid members. The Sharon Township Fire Department specializes in responding to first responder calls and vehicle accidents and fire. The Sharon Township Fire Department offers mutual aid and fire suppression services throughout the county. Its fire inspection bureau is responsible for conducting construction plan reviews and inspections, as well as insuring the proper installation of extinguishers and fire alarms. Additionally, it provides fire education programs for the public.
