My family recently stayed in one of the cabins and we truly enjoyed our stay. Our particular cabin had loads of goodies including: 2 master suites with huge jacuzzi tubs in each, a hot tub on the back porch, TVs in all the bedrooms including a huge projector screen tv upstairs along with a pool table and an air hockey table. Our extended family rented the cabin next door. It was truly a treat to have our families so close and still have plenty of personal space.
The check in/out procedures made the stay very easy. However I would warn against getting to the area after dark. Finding the cabins can be particularly difficult our GPS and iPhones were not able to find the individual cabin addresses. Additionally, the directions given by the rental office were not exactly accurate, luckily each cabin was clearly labeled.
Long story short, there are several cabin rental locations in the area and this one would definitely be on my list if we visit the area in the future.
I stayed at Majestic Mountain Vacations last week in a cabin called "Heart of Mine" and was extremely disappointed.
The upstairs A/C was broken and it was 91 degrees up there. The hottub blower was broken and the jets are worn out. The water in the entire place smelled like sulfur preventing us from using the beautiful heart-shaped tub. The fireplace had no on/off switch. The upstairs shower leaked into the kitchen. The downstairs shower was broken.
My biggest concern was the lack of concern or response. I called. I emailed the general manager. I posted on facebook. And, still, I have received NO response. No one showed up to fix the A/C or even acknowledge our complaints.
These are major issues. This was supposed to be the highlight of our honeymoon last week, but we were very disappointed.
I used Majestic Mountain Vacations twice before with no problems. I've referred dozens of people to them. I'm concerned that I'm getting ignored.
If you use Majestic Mountain Vacations, DO NOT use "Heart of Mine". You WILL be disappointed.

We just returned from a week in Majestic Splendor and will not book again with MMV. The property was presented as a luxury property and is rented at rates in accordance, and the property has simply not been maintained. Upon arrival, all 5 toilets and the kitchen sink stopped functioning (Maintenance resolved the following day). Several lights were out, blinds broken, pieces floating in the Jacuzzi, broken gaming equipment and little to no dishware for a house designed to support 12+ people. The grill had rusted out and was unusable; Mgmt was notified and we were assured this would be resolved the next day. It was not. Each day for 4 days I called to follow up and the issue was finally resolved after speaking to multiple managers who repeatedly blamed others and promised resolution only to fail in delivering. On Wednesday, the trash became full so I called and was told to place on the curb for pickup. I did so, but again, nothing happened. I again called daily and was promised immediate resolution, only to return to a growing pile of disgusting trash in front of the house. I called and e-mailed the general manager and only received a call from an assistant 3 days later when I explained that I would be posting my experience. All managers including the General Managers were confrontational and only blamed other managers or departments for lack of resolution. Each time they actually resolved an issue, I was made to feel as though they were doing me a favor. I had to call them daily to follow up on issues that should have never progressed, and I am left with the impression that this is standard practice for this organization. I have never experienced this complete lack of customer service from any organization. I love the area and will return, but will never again utilize Majestic Mountain Vacations or any affiliates. There are many excellent management companies in the area, and I highly recommend that you use any other than MMV.
These peoples cabins are NASTY! I have pictures from our stay at their City Bear Cabin. It was so nasty that we spent 360.00 to fly home 3 days early. I will gladly send these photos to anyone who ask. We had a large blood stain on our sheets, dust, mildew, dead bugs, the sheet smelt really bad, 3 nasty bath rings in the tub and so much more. We asked to be moved to another cabin....denied. We asked to be refunded.....denied! I have wrote reviews on many websites about them. I am also in the process to file with BBB. NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO>>>DO NOT STAY IN ONE OF THEIR CABINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not at all as pictured online--cabins are outdated, run down, & way smaller than pictures appear. Regular maintenance is not done regularly- filters were filthy, AC was frozen & didn't work, refrigerator was missing shelf & drawer, toaster was broken, hot tub cover was moldy, hot tub leaked & didn't lock, bedroom doors leading to balcony with hot tub didn't lock, making place unsafe for my 2 year old. Every time we called to see if maintenance on original cabin was resolved so we could move, we got the run around. We asked to cancel reservations & were told we would lose our deposit of $450.00. We asked to make our stay shorter & they said we would be charged anyway- that it's in the contract--so, in a nutshell THEY CAN CHANGE YOUR CABIN CHOICE LAST MINUTE, PROVIDE YOU WITH OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS & YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT WHAT THEY CONSIDER TO BE COMPARABLE OR LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT & ALL NIGTS RESERVED!!! WILL NEVER STAY AGAIN!!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!
