What you're really paying for.
I went up there to get a dog about six months ago. I ended up getting two do because our family couldn't choose one over the other, we loved them both the same. As we got to the desk to make these dogs part of our family we were told, "The adoption fee is $35 per animal." We still got the dogs. We put on the adoption papers why we would bring a dog back, it stated that we would bring them back if they were aggressive. We were assured that they get along with cats, each other,...view more and humans. One of them started attacking the other two weeks later. We called up there and the shelter said they would not take the dog back and give us another dog in replace and they would not give our money back because it was a DONATION. Well nice to know that before you go in they make it a FEE (so you have to pay it) and once you pay they make it a DONATION ( so they don't have to give it back). The dogs have since them been killing every cat in the area, and almost caused a horse to throw a girl that was riding it. It will coast us forty dollars to take the dogs that we were lied to about back to the shelter to keep them from getting killed by owners of other animals.view less
