Delicious Food!!

Always a joy to eat at Tulio. Definitely not your average hotel restaurant. Food is interesting, with fabulous pasta and entree selections. Service and ambiance were very nice as well.

Best Italian West of Italy!!

I have been to Tulio's many times and it has never been disappointing. From the moment you walk in you feel cared for and almost as if you are the only table eating. The wait staff are superb, friendly and efficient without acting as if they are your best friends.

I always take out of town guests there! It is always well received.... and creats good memories for a foody!

Wish I had great things to say...

A group of us had reservations for Tulio a few weeks ago. We were looking forward to a nice dinner and had heard good things about the place. We are not overly picky- in fact we are pretty easy to please. Maybe the chefs were having an off night, but the food left a lot to be desired. My crab tortelli was very bland. My friends sampled it and agreed it just tasted like pasta- no flavor! 2 other friends had salmon ravioli and they could taste the salmon but there were no other discernible flavors. 2 other friends had shellfish and thought it was decent but nothing to write home about. When the food was delivered, we tasted it and found we desperately needed parmesan (sad!) which we had to ask for and wait some time for. The server never checked back to see how our food tasted or if we needed anything- it almost seemed he was avoiding us. Maybe, because we were forced to send back two sets of drinks that were not drinkable. A citrus something and a regular margarita that tasted purely like mix. Again, we were really looking forward to this meal and were sad to be so let down.

Maybe the best food I've ever eaten

I am moving to Seattle and was staying in the Crown Plaza. I wanted pasta and salad for dinner so we went around the corner to Tulio. Turns out, not really a pasta and salad place, but I was SO glad that I made my way there. My sister and I had a glass of prosecco to start. Then we shared the sweet potato gnocchi. I think that may be one of the best things I've ever eaten in my whole life. I was a little sad that we shared it. I moved on to the chicken with lemon risotto. The risotto was done perfectly, and the chicken had such good flavor. It wasn't dry or bland. My sister had the TAGLIATELLE winter ragu, homemade ricotta. It was also fantastic. There was plenty of food, and I wish we would have had room for dessert, because it all looks yummy!

ATMOSPHERE MUCH GREATER THAN THE FOOD

We went there lasts night for the first time in a long time. Servers were very friendly and helpful, and we immediately liked the ambience. However, beginning with ridiculous little slices of bread and some kind of oil to pour on top of these shreddings, the food was disappointing and grossly overpriced. The lamb shank came, but not medium rare as ordered. Instead, it was somewhere between rare and raw. The server had not inspected it upon being rushed from the kitchen but he returned it to be further cooked; upon his next visit, the sauce was missing! My pasta dish was flavorful but there were six lonely little bows sitting into a yellowish bowl of seasoned butter. Tasted great but left me hungry. They later tried to push the dessert menu on us but we were full from the lamb dish. \nWe gave the bald-headed server a good tip since he did not charge us for a corkage fee.

Gorgeous Old School Downtown Seattle Italian

I had the gnocchi at this place and it was melt in your mouth delicous. A great place to take clients for lunch (although you may need a nap afterwards), makes you feel like you are in Tuscany. Great wines paired with traditional Italian, and some northwest flare. All in all, an amazing Seattle restaurant

Good food, mixed feelings on service

I first went to Tulio's because my sister knew the GM. I thought, how different can this place be from other Italian restaurants, maybe I was extremely hungry that day, but I really enjoyed the food. I've been back a couple more times and the food has been great each time.

The service is a mixture of good and bad. I've had a really great server and I've had the laziest server. So depending on which section you are seated at, the service may not be up to par. It is also very crowded both inside and out, it's hard to get around tables.
