    Fast, Friendly Service

    While coffee shops are a dime a dozen in downtown Seattle these days, this corner shop is a jewel in the Pioneer Square area. Boasting a strong regular (and recognized) customer base, quick and friendly baristas, and an engaging and competent manager, it has quickly become one of my favorite places to stop and take a break from the bustle of the work day.

    Walk up to the Starbucks on 2nd and Yesler

    This is consistantly the worst Starbucks I've been too. The usual cashier is overly aggresive in trying to upsell you. The baristas are hit and miss in getting the order right. The manager is generally unkept. The store is understaffed and has had broken equipment a number of times in the last 4 months since I've been in the neighborhood. If it's slow when you come in, you get the feeling that you're intruding on the staff as they hang out in their living room. An overall unwelcome experience. Walk up to the one on 2nd (maybe it's 3rd) and Yesler, much better entirely.
