I need to have my gas furnace serviced so I called several places for prices. When I called, a woman said they would send someone out. I said again I only wanted a""ballpark"" price. She said the person who came out would give me an estimate. \r \r I told her I worked 3 jobs and couldn't guarantee a time and/or wait around for someone, so I asked again for ""just a basic ballpark"" price. She pushed for me to make an appt this Sat. I said NO, I'd be working from 3 am to 5 pm Sat & Sun. She pushed again for appt. I said NO! and asked why she couldn't give me a \r ""ballpark"" amount but she wouldn't answer. \r \r I said ""thank you but since you can't even bother to give me a ballpark amount, when 8 other companies have, it probably means you're probably going to pad the bill"". She said to call back if I want to set up an appt. I said I'd never call and never recommend them. I now know why they have complaints with the BBB. \r

Don't let these other "suspect" reviews fool you!
The Good: The repair work to my leaking water main line appears to have been competently done.
The Bad: This company uses a consumers lack of knowledge and understanding of plumbing issues and repairs to overcharge for their services. This is not an ethical company and I would discourage using them. At a minimum, get several bids before deciding to use them.
The Situation: We had a water leak in the coupling from the main water line and the pipe leading into the house. The fitting was under the driveway, so it required jack-hammering a 2x2 foot concrete square, digging a 4 foot hole, and fixing a basic coupling. The repair took a total of five hours (with travel time) and about $50 of parts (I'm being generous here). The charge, $5300! The math says they earned $1060/hr.
To top it off, before paying the balance, I asked to speak to the owner to discuss the effort of the repair and the charges. Instead of calling me back, they simply charged the balance of the repair against my credit card WITHOUT my signed authorization. Effectively stealing from me.
As said above, please consider another, more reputable plumber. -
