I made an appointment with Scissor's Edge last week because I needed my bangs trimmed. I called to make the appointment and told the woman on the phone exactly what I just told you - ""I need my bangs trimmed"". So when I sat down in Debbie's chair the day of my appointment, she started snipping right away. No questions, just started cutting, and telling me some ridiculous, unrelated story about her sister. I left a few minutes later with one side of my bangs significantly and noticeably longer than the other. Moreover, she completely changed the style of bangs that I had, going from piecey, feathered, longer bangs to blunt, straight (well, at least I think that's what she was trying for) and much shorter bangs than I wanted. But how would she know that's what I wanted, since she never asked and never gave me the opportunity to tell her? Debbie's problem is that she doesn't ask questions and doesn't give her clients the opportunity to tell her what they want. She just assumes. And in my case, she was wrong. Unfortunately for her, she also can't cut in a straight line. That's two major things against her and therefore I am never going back there, not even to try the other stylists. In sum, I paid $5 for a bang trim that I had to go home and try to fix myself.
