Iris does a great job at a great price

If you are looking for a really good haircut at a reasonable price, try Iris at Salon Ciba. She has been cutting my hair for a while, and consistently does an excellent job. Also, for the quality, it's a great deal. I also really like the feel of the Belltown Salon - it's got a good feel to it. Not too trendy, but cool decor and nice people that treat you well. Definitely 5 stars...

Iris is the best!

I have been seeing Iris for awhile now, and I have followed her from a few other salons. She is amazing. I have long, thick hair and every other stylist I have been to in Seattle has always given me the exact same long-layered style, no matter what I asked for. Iris is different. She gave me a cut that worked with my texture, and it is still long and pretty. She has my business for as long as she wants it.

Disappointing to say the least

Wow, how sad that Tino and Iris abruptly left thier previous salon. Talk about a trust issue -- you not only left for Salon Ciba, but you took your client base which was highly unprofessional not to speak of the contract that was in place. Contract law is lesson number 1 in running a business. Shame on the owner at Salon Ciba for encouraging this behavior. \r
Hair dressers are more than stylists -- professionalism goes hand in hand.

Iris is the Best!

Iris at Salon Ciba in Belltown has been cutting and coloring my hair for some time now and I couldn’t be happier with the results. She has a brilliant sense of style and you can tell she’s passionate about what she does and really cares about helping people look their best. She’s always really listened to what I wanted. I recently changed my hairstyle for the first time in a long time - a bit scary for me! Iris was fantastic – she had some excellent ideas about how to layer and sty...view morele my hair to bring out my cheekbones and it worked! I got tons of compliments on my new style (from all kinds of people!) and I don’t mind saying it’s given me quite a little boost. She was really great about taking the time to show me some specific styling tips that I could do myself with my new cut, too, so it didn’t only look great right after I left the salon. I feel like Iris brings out the best in me and I couldn’t recommend her more highly!view less

Salon CIBA

Just got home with one of my greatest haircuts. Salon CIBA is so fortunate to have the stylist Yvette Gaynor at this site, First Ave. I have followed Yvette at each of her Salons. \r
She always has the elan of a true artist. Thanks for a wonderful experience!!! \r
Ken her next chair neighbor always offers the best of advice and support when I allow the daring stylist, to show her true talents in style. \r

Best hair I ever got

I got my hair permed by Michelle. Before this visit, I got a terrible hair cut at the other salon, and it made me look like I was 13, even though I was 25! I was nervous, but she did an excellent job. Once I showed her a picture of what I want, she did ask me several questions to make sure she knows what I want. After that, I was very quiet, because I do not speak English as a first language and I was nervous at the same time, but she did consult me for every step of what she was doin...view moreg, and my hair turned out to be wonderful one. After everything was done, she told me how to take care of my hair after I leave salon. It has been a few weeks since I got my hair done, but my hair still looks pretty nice and I get compliments from people for my hair! On the way to go home, I kept saying to my fiance ""I love my hair"" every 2 minutes, every chance we stoped talking. He still laughs me at it, but I love my hair that much! If I want my hair to be permed again, I would definitely go for Michelle!view less

Excellent customer service, warm and friendly atmosphere, great stylists Yvette and Cindy

I moved to downtown Seattle a year ago, and I was looking for a professional beauty salon. Being ""spoiled"" by great salons in Europe I tried several downtown, but there was nothing really special about them, and I kept looking until I finally found Salon Ciba. I was immediately attracted by the friendliness of the staff and the whole comforting atmosphere but I was mostly impressed by the stylist, Yvette Gaynor. She is not only a sensitive friendly person but also a great stylist,...view more ready to listen to you and meet your needs to the utmost. She has her own style which she doesn't impose on you but it's worth listening to. Yvette definitely ""feels"" what you need and what fits you best. SInce last summer I have become a regular customer and I never regretted that. I had my hair done several times by Cindy Jarvis, and this is a wonderful treat too. Being a chief manager, Cindy never shows it to customers or stylists, there is never any feeling of stress; the moment you step in, you feel welcome and relaxed, you feel at home. So if you are looking for a great place that you will enjoy, I strongly recommend Salon Ciba.view less

Serena is my savior!!!!!

I went to Salon Ciba because a few of my friends recommended it. I picked Serena based off the website and I was happy that I picked right! She listened to me and made sure we were on the same page. I was worried because my last haircut was not very successful...but she waited and talked to me until I felt 100% comfortable. I trust her with my hair from now on! Its hard to find people who are as patient and sincere as she is. The salon is fun and easygoing and I think it is the best ha...view moreircut I have ever had!!! My boyfriend thinks so too! Actually get hair like the celebrities and walk out feeling like a star!

I've been living in Seattle my whole life and have had lots of bad hair cuts, but finally someone recommended Amalia to me and now I don't think I can go anywhere else. Not only is she a great stylist, she's also a perfectionist which is great for her clients. She also really takes into account what I'm saying, but also gives me great advice. I've had long hair all my life and wanted to try something new. With her help I was able to find a great short style that fits me and I love ...view moreit!view less

Best salon in Seattle!

I have been living in Seattle for a few years now and was unsure of where to go for my hair styling needs until I met Amalia Paxton. She has won me over and now I won't go anywhere else! Since I've been going to her she has impressed me with new hair cutting techniques and always seems to have great recommendations on hair color. I have always liked her recommendations and will typically let her do whatever she wants . . . haven't been disappointed! The Salon also has a cool vibe with ...view morea good product selction.view less
