very disappointed and still hungry

... Me and George just came back from Flying Fish restaurant.... bad bad bad\r
Should I start with the fact that we were offered a table near kitchen and next to the restrooms?... asked to change the seats... 10 min later we got a booth.... My spoon and knife were dirty... I hate when restaurants have semi-clean silverware....\r
Clam Chowder was pretty nice, although wine was watery (but that was my poor choice).

a little past prime

My husband and I went to the flying fish last night, lured by a 25$ off coupon. We wanted to sit in a booth but were told it was reserved, so unless we were done in an hour we should sit at a table. When we left, over an hour later, I noticed several booths were empty.\r
My drink was good, but he said his 11$ margharita was weak. I ordered the calamari - the breading was great, but there was a slight fishy taste.

I'm sad about having to write this

I moved back to Seattle recently and was very excited to have an amazing meal at Flying Fish in July. It instantly became my ""go to"" restaurant for taking friends and visitors. Last night's meal was a mixed bag which just doesn't fly with a restaurant of this price/caliber. The service from the bartender/hostess was very friendly and warm. The food was flawless in presentation and taste. Our seafood was cooked... view more

Great Restuarant

Great restaurant. Terrific service. Extraordinarily tasty fish. Delectable huckleberry caramelized creme brulee and fudge brownies to die for.

Thank you for a wonderful evening!

My husband and I had an important business dinner that was set up at the Flying Fish and it couldn't have been a more pleasant experience thanks to the wonderful waitstaff, attentive servers and terrific food! We started with an order of the rock-fish for the table as an appetizer and it was truly phenominal, the presentation was beautiful, it made for good talk, tasted fantastic and was really fun to eat! The calama... view more

waste of money and time

Let me be concise in telling our experience\r
- the server was always in a hurry even to explain whats on the menu\r
- calamari came on time and was realllly oily. I mean u wld feel awlful after having some..\r
- we had to wait 20 more minutes for our dinner ( excuse being the place is busy today)\r
- my salmon was cooked ok. My wife got mahi mahi and started eating. we were really hungry by then. Strangely one h

Great Service, Even Upstairs

Went to Flying Fish for a first date evening. I have been to this Belltown establishment several times with girlfriends, bar dates (old pals wanting to catch up with good food and drinks) and such. Was not aware that they had upstairs seating. Well, me and my new friend were seated upstairs (with a reservation) and were given very, very good service. Our server was well versed with the menu, wines, and small talk... view more

Avoid this overpriced, underwhelming restaurant

We were excited by the prospect of having a delicious seafood dinner in Seattle, and this one came highly recommended. REALLY!? Is there no better here in Seattle? We were extremely underwhelmed. The food was oversauced, underseasoned, and simply overpriced. The waiter was not present (in fact, we had a hard time finding anyone that would take the check), and he was really not knowledgable about the wine. We we... view more

Another Great Dinner!

My husband and I had dinner at Flying Fish for the third time this year...and had our third amazing meal! This place is great. The staff is so friendly and accomodating and the food was fabulous. \r
It is not the new restaurant on the block, but the food is still very innovative and creative and we just love the whole fried rockfish. We just made reservations for dinner on New Years Eve...we wante to fit one more gr

bland food poor service

I was very disappointed. We wandered Seattle looking for a decent seafood restaurant. We searched on our phone for good reviews and this had the best we could find. Menu is printed different every day. I got Halibut and my husband got Salmon. He enjoyed his dish and even offered to trade but I didn't like either of them. I was very disappointed. I paid $25 per plate which I know is somewhat reasonable but I wou... view more
