Success! Thanks for posting your review of Carnegie's. You’ve done the world some good today.

Really good

We went on a Thursday night and the place was empty. Two other tables were occupied, both by couples likely in their 70's or 80's. We ordered off the prix fixe menu and were really happy we did. Food was amazing, especially the desserts. I was a little bit disappointed that the menu was different from what was on the website as there were a few things that had sounded good to me that weren't available that night, ... view more

Great experience...we'll be back!

We loved the outside of Carnegie's and just had to see the inside! The great news is that the restaurant lives up to the amazing architecture on the inside as well as the outside. \r \r We tried the Prix Fixe menu; we started with the French onion soup and the tossed field greens. The soup had a great, hearty flavor and I savored it to the last spoonful. The salad was nicely dressed and tasted fresh and clean. ... view more

Great French Find--in spite of the bad fake flowers

The four of us splurged and ordered an array of appertizers, entrees, and desserts. The onion gruyere soup was to die for. The calamari was tasty, and the smoked salmon with a potato cake was most excellent. The entree swere quite tasty and reasonable compared to Le Gourmand and others in the area., although the wines were a little pricey. I had the seafood marvarin which was well seasoned and had ample amounts ... view more

The food, the place, and the staff were amazing. Try the calamari, french onion soup, and steak bernaise...absolutely amazing. The steak was cooked perfect and was the best steak I have ever tasted. Also make sure you save room for the chocolate is to die for!

My favorite place in Ballard

I love this place. My husband and I love to have the small plates at the bar. They make the best martinis. The french onion soup is the best I've ever had. The chocolate mouse is perfection.

My Favorite Restaurant

Carnegie's is the most consistently good, excellent restaurant in Seattle. I have never been disappointed and have eaten there at least 15 times. It is a nice location for lunch meetings and dinner is wonderful, especially for the value.

Amazing amazing amazing

I discovered this place, then went back 3 times in 2 weeks. The food is well-conceived and expertly executed... every bite is perfect, from the creme asparagus soup to the steak bernaise (best steak I've ever eaten), to the chocolate pistachio torte or the goat cheese cake with fig jam. The fresh fish special is always delicious too. The waiters and chefs make great food and wine recommendations, the restaurant is... view more

Had my wedding there

My wife and I planned a small wedding (40 people max) and wanted a place that was beautiful and could also provide dinner. Carnegie's provided both, and the night was sensational. The decor is really beautiful, and provided the perfect scene for our wedding. The food was classic and fantastic and guests could choose from 3 different dinners, all of which were well-enjoyed by guests. Carnegie's is great. My w... view more

Need to get organized!

I really wanted to like Carnegie's. I support fledgling independent restaraunts. It's a super convenient location in an innovative setting. However, I found the service lacking. Our server took so long to take our order we finally flagged down the hostess. (she ended up waiting on us too because he was so busy) Strangely, they had a lot of staff, but not enough designated to do the right things. Since they have an op... view more
