After years of searching for a good personal trainer in Seattle, I finally found Fitness Together in West Seattle. Their concept of not only having your own personal trainer, but also your own personal gym is pure genius. I've never liked working out with crowds of people watching. I also hated waiting for machines when I was with my personal trainer. Fitness Together elminates these problems. Duncan, my personal trainer at Fitness Together West Seattle, makes each workout challenging and fun. With the whole gym to ourself, we can try many different exercises in a small amount of time. Since I have bad knees and a bad back, I can sincerely appreciate the expertise it takes to do a tough workout without hurting any previouslyl broken parts. The best part of Fitness Together is there was no initial fee and the training sessions were less than my local gym! They also offer the first session free, so I could see if I would like their style of training. I didn't like it... I loved it!
RAIN is the BEST gym in Seattle! I have been a member there for 3 1/2 years now and have never ran into any of the issues people are griping about. Not only is it CLEAN but the staff has been extremely nice and helpful whenever I had a question or a concern. One of the most important things for a gym to have (in my opinion) is great equipment. The equipment at Rain is very new and very well maintained. I love the spacious lofty feel of Rain. It is filled with natural light and has an amazing view of the Puget Sound. I tend to get lost on the treadmill while watching the ferry boats go by. I find it really nice and relaxing. I started working with a personal trainer when I first signed up. It was great because it gave me the motivation and accountability I needed to lose the weight I wanted. I really would suggest this gym to anyone who is looking for an amazing fitness facility in Seattle.
This gym is all about fitness. There's no excessive amenities to drive the membership price up. No pool or sauna but I go to the gym to workout and get in shape and they have everything you need to get a GREAT workout. Drew and his trainers give you the best workouts and are there to answer all your questions. I like to train pretty aggressively and they give me the perfect workout every time. They train all types of people, from "out-of-shape" all the way to "elite athlete" and everyone seems to leave tired and sweaty but I still see them showing up the next time for more so they must all be liking it. Where else can you go and get a personal training membership for only $50 a month. I love it!
