Arkansas State University-Beebe is a public, open access, operationally separate institution of the Arkansas State University. The institution aims to provide affordable, comprehensive and high quality instruction and service programs. It provides university transfer, and technical and instructional programs to students at the associate degree and certificate levels. It has campuses in Beebe, Searcy, Heber Springs and Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. Founded in 1927, ASU-Beebe is one of the oldest institutions in the state. It offers associate degrees in applied science, arts, general education and technology, and health sciences. It provides certificate programs in air conditioning, auto body repair, automotive technology, computer information systems, computerized accounting and crime scene investigation. Its certificate programs also include courses in diesel technology, early childhood education, industrial electronics, law enforcement, machining, office occupations, practical nursing, and welding technology.
