Cat Clinic Of NE Seattlezencatlover rated
Quality + Price in One

The re pected Checkbook.org give The Cat Clinic of NE Seattle \"top rating\" for both quality and price. Choo ing the right vet i a matter of life and death for your pet. At the ame time, it can make a ignificant dent in your pocketbook. And either free up, or tie d...moreown, your own preciou time. De pite the proximity of their name , do NOT confu e thi bu ine with the Cat Clinic of Seattle. Dr. Romatow ki i very thorough. For in tance, the time he pent actually examining my cat wa at lea t two to three time that either vet at the Queen Anne Animal Clinic pent doing the ame. He took the initiative to do the e thing on hi own rather than wait for me to a k him to do them. Of the ix vet we aw during an 18-month period, he wa --hand down--the mo t con cientiou . He doe n't pu h expen ive procedure of dubiou value, a i often the ca e today with vet . I would hazard more than a gue that an annual check-up here for your cat would be out tanding. I ought a econdary opinion on my cat' health from him, and the office vi it I received wa the be t one my cat ever had. He wa congenial, knowledgeable, caring. Another plu i that unlike ome clinic , there i NOT taff ru hing around. You don't get the feeling that you're ju t one client coming through a \"revolving door\" here. Only one vet (Dr. Romatow ki) and a very experienced one at that. He wa al o the very fir t of four vet to te t for high blood pre ure, which i a eriou condition for cat in renal failure. We promptly got my cat on amlodipine to keep it within the normal range. And he brought to our attention a very eriou problem with theregime et out for u by the Cat Clinic of Seattle. Unfortunately, when my cat wa eriou ly ill with melena (black tarry tool with diarrhea), he wa unwilling to write a pre cription for ulfacrate, a protectant/ab orbent for upper GI tract ulcer , which may have been helpful in jump- tarting my cat' appetite. My cat' health began to go rapidly downhill only 24 hour after the la t vi it here, which the vet had not been able to fore ee--and I had to go to another clinic to let him go another 24 hour later, which, for me, wa deva tating. The explanation of the treatment that day wa particularly unclear--to what end wa the injection of predni olone? He al o told me to return in 8-9 day if it \"it didn't work\" and we'd \"try omething el e.\" My cat wa dead within 48 hour . \"Stuff happen ,\" I gue . What i troubling i the thought that if I had brought him in, ay, only two day after I had noticed hi appetite wa \"off,\" that THAT probably would not have made any difference, ince the vet had not been able to, apparently, predict the eriou ne and urgency of the problem even ju t one day before the final cra h. Al o, I wonder, with great orrow, if my cat had been immediately treated for the melena and diarrhea that had occurred three time during the two-week interval before my cat' death? I had reque ted him to write a pre cription for ulfacrate, a common upper ga trointe tinal tract ab orbent/protectant, which he declined to write. However, maybe nothing could have been done. I'll never know. In um, although I think Dr. Romatow ki i an extremely competent vet, I do believe that communication with client i le than ideal. When I wrote to inform him, for in tance, of the death of my cat le than 48 hour after he been to hi clinic--and of my concern about the injection given, a well a what hi finding actually had been that day, I received no re pon e. I did receive a card of condolence , ix day after. I tru t Dr. Romatow ki' judgment more than any other vet I have been to. Al o, he i one of the few veterinarian here in Seattle who ha not pu hed me to do unnece ary te t or other thing I could ea ily done my elf.view less

Thorough, loving care of animal and their human

We've been eeing Dr. Monahan for the la t year, ince my cat wa diagno ed with diabete . Dr. Monahan taught me everything I needed to know to manage Toby' care at home, wa re pon ive and thorough in her a e ment of him. Toby al o wa een once each by Dr. Roberti, and...more by Dr. Echentile, who di covered the cancer that would eventually take hi life. The taff ha upported my family in more way than I can ay - they are profe ional, re pectful and caring. In the end, Dr. Monahan came to our home to put Toby to leep, and I will never forget her utter compa ion toward him and me. Her love and under tanding of animal and people are apparent, and her manner that ad day helped make that awful experience o much more peaceful than I could have imagined. Eternally grateful.view less

Great Doctor , Good Service

Going to a veterinary emergency ho pital i never ea y when life or death deci ion are involved. But I can't help but be grateful to the taff and doctor at ACCES for their re pon ivene to my ituation. They took kitty right to the back and began working on her to ave...more her life. Turn out he wa blocked and needed a catheter placed. After a few day of care kitty wa ju t fine and went home happy and on the way to being fully healed. I am o grateful to the doctor , who kept me updated every tep of the way while kitty wa in the ho pital.
