I heard a lot of negative comments on this resort before going. I will be the first to say none of them are true as far as I'm concerned. My wife and I, went there with my mother in law, brother in law and his girlfriend. Between all of us 7 kids, and they are a rowdy bunch. They were jammed packed when we got there, and I left knowing why. The place was in a very nice setting, ton's of stuff for the kids to do, staff was really friendly. They had marshmallow roast for the kids, and did a easter egg hunt for the kids as well. The mining was a big hit for the kids as well. We stayed in the hunters cabin, and the kids loved the upper loft. Residents are super friendly. My daughter was trying to fly a kite and had no luck, one of the residents came over to fix her kite. Overall just a great place, it set new standards on fun times for our family.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!!! Stayed at a Quality in New York that lacked in a few ways. I was initially apprehensive about trying another Quality Inn. This experience changed that for me. This was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. I travel 7 days per month and stay in all sorts of hotels. So I have quite the experience to compare to. Also, the service was something you don't see much these days. Friendly faces who seemed genuinly excited to help. Ambiance was excellent as well. You could just tell that ownership put a premium on guest experience. This wasn't how many heads we can get in beds. This was, take care of the customer, provide an elite experience and get return business that way. Well, you got me, I'll be returning. Bravo
I don't know what happened in 2008, but I stayed at the Edelweiss Inn last July and was impressed by the accommodations. In fact, I just looked them up to make a reservation for October 30th when I noticed the two bad reviews from 2008. Well, I just had to state that I got more than my money's worth in July 2014. I guess that's obvious, since I'm going to stay there again in weeks. I would refer this motel to anyone going to New Braunfels.
