Was in a car accident and came to West Los Angeles Chiropractic via a friend. This office did more than the previous office I switched from from the exam, physical to even taking X-rays (last office didn't) to the treatment. I spent about an hour my first and second visit. The second visit we covered all my findings, reviewed my xrays and Dr. Karr answered all my questions. He came me his best recommendations which I agreed to and even called my attorney to bring him up to speed on what he and I were doing. After they spoke Dr. Karr emailed my x-rays to my attorney just to have, which was cool since the xrays are digital and easy to work with. I felt really cared for as an individual. After several weeks I feel better and we started doing strengthening exercises during each visit now. I like how the treatments change as I progress. Regardless if this was a personal injury or not, I am getting great care. I understand Dr. Karr was initially concerned with preventing scare tissue from forming that could affect me years later with pain. He did ultrasound and muscle stim and traction. The adjustments are really deep and he gets more movement than any other chiropractor I've even been to and his adjustments way more comfortable. The office is warm and open. It's all digital and when I come in I have to log myself in at the terminal. I also input my symptoms on my own each day I come in which is really cool so I can have documented everything I want in my report in my own words. My attorney says many good things about Dr. Karr and I plan on coming back after my case closes. I have insurance that covers Chiropractic Care. I feel almost better than even before the accident now. Very cool. I like the style of this office. No pressure and easy to deal with. Betty n Seiko and Dino run the office well. Parking is free at Marshalls and or on weekends in the parking lot. The massages hurt me initially (first two perhaps), but now no pain and very relaxing. I tend to go on Saturdays for massage. I've done some acupuncture and like it. It's all in one office which is cool because they all talk to each other about my case and my progress. Definitely one of the better chiropractic office out there being that I've been to several. They do true chiropractic treatment.
Pins and needles running down my leg drove me to seek chiropractic help. An MRI confirmed 2 bulging disks and 2 crowded nerve roots. Dr. Karr suggested I begin treatment on the Spinal Decompression machine. I’d never heard of Spinal Decompression therapy and wanted to research my options before agreeing to this treatment. I continued to see Dr. Karr while I investigated this therapy and he patiently answered all my questions and educated me on the process. He’s smart, embraces “state of the art” medical technologies, strikes a good balance between “Eastern” and “Western” medicine and he’s a fighter. He never pressured me to make a decision nor did he rush me to do so, but he strongly defended his opinion that Spinal Decompression was the treatment for me and he wanted me to make the right choice. I opted to put my faith in Dr. Karr and under go Spinal Decompression. At treatment #13 I had my first success. One of 2 major aches in my back disappeared. Treatment #19 and the 2nd pain disappeared. In reviewing my progress, Dr. Karr thought it would be beneficial if we did a few extra treatments and he did so at no additional charge to me. It wasn’t about the money, but more about a successful outcome for me. Although Dr. Karr was my primary physician, Dr. Ortiz also administered my treatments. He’s a smarty too, and has a sweet and gentle manner. He always explained my treatments and prepared me for how I might feel and what I could expect. It’s a busy office expertly run by Operations Managers, Seiko and Betty but there’s no waiting. You are swiftly directed to a treatment room, the decompression table or strength training. Dr. Karr and his staff have made it to my “top most amazing people on the planet” list.
After much research, I discovered that only a very few doctors take health insurance for spinal decompression. I found myself suddenly in a painful situation with my lower back and leg pain and the bills were adding up quickly. Each doctor had their own approach as to how and help me. I did the epidurals several times with some relief, but it didn't last and surgery wasn't an option. No one told me about spinal decompression. I had to hear about it from a friend and that's when the research started. I met with Dr. Karr and he reviewed my exam and MRI with me in detail. It mode complete sense as it related to the pin I was having, that being a nerve in my lower back being pinched and how everyone has a different idea of how to treat it. I decided to do treatment with Dr. Karr and I started noticing a difference rather quick. He explained that most people don't notice relief that quickly and Dr. Karr changed my treatment plan and started me on strengthening exercises. I believe he is the only office offering Medx with decompression. The cost was a fraction of what other offices wanted me to pay out of pocket and I must say I can imagine getting any better treatment elsewhere. I like to DRX9000 as oppose to the other machines I looked into. I am pain free and much more confident in my daily activities. I suggest seeing Dr. Karr before considering anything else.
