Fine Dining Cafeteria Style

I originally checked out Vapiano Re taurant becau e my brother told me about it.  My fir t thought when I walked in the door and they handed me a card (what they call a chip card) wa "college".  You u e the card to order all of your food, drink , de ert, ...moreetc.  That' exactly whatI did in my college cafeteria year , wipe everything I wanted.  But, I wa urpri ed at my overall experience.  The food wa amazing and I ab olutely loved watching my food be cooked right in front of me.  Awe ome!  I've been there 4 time within the la t 4 month , o I gue you can ay I'm a fan.  I put together 2 li t that I hope are helpful when you have your fir t Vapiano experience.   Thing to Do: 1.  Find a table before ordering - the la t thing you want to do i walk around with your food and no table to it at. 2.  Make your menu election before you're in front of the chef/cook - you don't want to be the one that hold up the line behind you. 3.  A k the chef to add your favorite to the di h - a little garlic, red pepper or fre h pepper won't hurt. 4.  Try different pa ta - the pa ta i made fre h and they have a great variety.  You won't be di appointed. Don't: 1.  Don't leave your table unattended - it' important to clam your territory, e pecially on a Friday or Saturday night.  Thi re taurant get crowded at night, o your group better leave a carf, book or omething to claim your table before everyone get up to place their order . 2.  Don't take all of your friend' card to the bar to order drink - by the time you get to the bar you never remember which card belong to each friend.  The card are identical. 3.  Don't leave your food behind if you're full - they have the cute t to-go-di he and they are perfect to re-u e.  Ju t a k the wait taff walking around for a to-go-box/di h. The only rea on they don't get a perfect core from me i becau e I hate waiting in line and on Friday and Saturday night you will wait ju t a bit.  Other than that it' the perfect pot for girl night out or a date.  Have fun and enjoy the food.  It' Pa ta Time at Vapiano' !   Check out my neak peak Video into my Vapiano experience:  http://youtu.be/SBiG5g2TnXMview less

Exceptional all the way around

We had a wonderful dining experience! The entire taff, from coat check to our very plea ant waiter, made thi an unforgettable experience. Sardi' wa recommended by a clo e friend and long time patron, and I am o glad we cho e to take hi advi e. Our meal wa delicio...moreu . The oup ( hrimp) wa an and excellent appetizer and the bread election made it very difficult to make a choice, they all looked o good. (I have to admit that I did have a ta te of my on' election.) My main cour e wa the crab cake and, though they were excellent, I wi h that I had cho en a more unique main cour e. However, I wa extremely plea ed with the ta te of my alad that accompanied my main cour e. My mother cho e the callop which were both ae thetically plea ing and per my mother, extremely flavorful and deliciou . Although we do not u ually have de ert and we were quite ati fied, we did hare a Creme Brule, and again I wa o happy that we did! Creme Brule i one of my favorite de ert and the chef prepared it perfectly. I wa extremely appreciative of the con ideration made and patience by many in my daughter' diabetic nutritional need . We do not get to travel often a a re ult of my daughter' new diagno e , and have received re i tance from other re taurant to reque t for carbohydrate count . Finally, the atmo phere wa even more than I expected, having been prepared by my friend. It wa warm and welcoming and I think that I actually miled throughout my entire vi it. Sardi' made our trip to New York that much more enjoyable and hopefully I will be able to get to New York in the near future and vi it your re taurant once again.view less
