I always get best rates with Alamo! We were on a girls trip and I rented a full size...which we always rent, the girl at the counter kept pushing me to upgrade to a premium! For $20 more a day! Then came down to $12! I told her this was big enough, she kept pushing me telling me we would not be able to get our 4 pieces of luggage in it. She even showed me a chart saying Full size only held 2 reg suitcases & 3 small which isn't what they showed online. We kept with the full size, picked a Camry which I drive at home and could have gotten another suitcase in the trunk! I think I has such a good rate she was trying to get me to oaying more! Only thing I didn't like was my key did not electronic door/trunk opener, I had to manually unlock the driver door and pull lever to open trunk...a bit of a pain!
I have used Enterprise before where I live, but this was my first time out of town. I had selected another rental service, but changed due to the high security deposit they asked for, the night before my trip. Enterprise set up my rental with no problems, and only charged a small percentage extra for security, since I don't have a major credit card. The person on the phone was very polite, the clerk at the desk, was extremely nice, and the young lady who walked me through the check out/in process was very nice as well. I recommend this agency to anyone looking for affordable, reliable transportation, with or without a major credit card, which is extremely hard to find these days. Thank you Enterprise for being there for me and my family when we needed!
We rented a standard car at Tampa International Airport and it was very comfortable for a smaller car but unfortunately, something came loose (?muffler/ catalytic converter) and it made some really loud sounds. It was quite an ordeal trying to call on the phone to get information on how to exchange the car. After being hung up on and transferred to several different individuals, we found out we had to bring it back to an airport Enterprise rental to exchange it. They did the exchange quickly (minutes) and upgraded us to an Impala for no charge. Not as good mileage but drove nicely. We are very happy about how smoothly the exchange went but I think Enterprise should put a working/appropriate phone number to contact you quickly
